An aging JSA is faced with the return of their worst enemy, Per Degaton, as he returns from suspended animation to enact a plan for world domination, while Black Canary helps Wildcat face his greatest regrets.
Airing: January 15

It's the Justice Society of flippin' America! :applaud

could we get a pic of that that isn't a closeup?

I'm so thrilled that the Brave and the Bold is going to great lengths to showcase all the Heroes of the DCU . Giving other heroes who aren't that popular to the public eye a chance at the spot light .

Can't wait to see JSA, a prologue to The Justice League debut .

that he stole when he escaped the batcave detention cel?

Good episode. Loved the teaser, loved the Black Cat' bit and hey Nazi Robots are cool!

The teaser with Batman and Detective Chimp was FUNNY.
The reveal of the villian surprise me.

Love the B&W newsreel footage of the JSA in action.
Sad to see the original Black Canary pass on in the arms of Wildcat.
Too bad this wasn't a 2-part episode. Would have like to see more members of the JSA in either in Flashback or in the present.

Overall another solid effort. B+

i'd have liked it as two parter as well now that you mention it also i wish the golen age atom had been in there as well

The JSA in ANYTHING is always a great thing but no Sandman? Really?!

One of the best eps of the entire show yet, I was entertained thoroughly throughout. The JSA were fantastic, and there were so many great jokes and shoutouts I'll have to compile a list later. The ep was much like Fall of the Blue Beetle, Trials of the Demon and Invasion of the Secret Santas in that it expertly juggled wonderful comic silliness, obscure characters, exciting action, references and even levels of darkness and tear jerking territory.

But the very best part of the ep?
"I turn my back on you for two seconds, and suddenly your eighty years old and covered in robots!" :woot:

It's even my facebook quote now (admittingly got the idea from someone else)

This episode was Incredible, loved the tribute to the JSA family, Batman was awesome in this episode (even when he was turned into an 80 year old he still kicked mega ass .) OMG the teaser with Detective Chimp was brilliant . Loved how they handle Wildcat & Canary overprotective father & daughter relationship .

Seeing Batman being trained by The JSA in his father's original costume was an awesome treat .

Best line of the entire episode
"I turn my back on you for two seconds, and suddenly your eighty years old and covered in robots!" - Wildcat to Batman

BTAS poster , Nice shout out James Tucker .

This is a great episode. I hope to see more JSA members later like Alan Scott, etc. I loved seeing Bats in the golden age costume! Also there are "moments" on here that can be serious like Golden Age Black Canary and Blue Beetle Ted Kord. I just love this show. I want a JSA animated series!

It's crazy how many characters on this show have died, if it weren't for the villains from the JLU ep Alive! this show probably would've amassed a body count higher than the entire DCAU.

Deaths from the top of my head; spoilers ahoy as well:

Thomas Wayne - shot
Martha Wayne - shot
Morgan Le Faye - vanquished by Excalibur
Slug - ripped apart by Outsiders and Wildcat
Wildcat - for like 30 seconds but I wanted to shoehorn him in - heart attack
Boston Brand - shot
Ted Kord - Blown up
PLATELET! - ripped apart by virus
Wong Fei - poisoned
Jewellery shop worker - Joker laughing gas
Aquaman's beluga whales - by whaling industry
Frackload of Gordanians including General Kreegar - blown up aboard the Eye of Zarad
Astaroth - vanquished by iron
Jim Craddock - hung by the neck
Tornado Tyrant - ripped apart by Red Tornado
Master Tadashi - Cut down by sword
Equinox - first by energy blast then again shattered by time vortex
Black Canary (original) - crushed by debris in fiery building

I'm sure there's a few I've missed.

As a huge JSA fan I have to say I loved this episode. Although seeing the JSA train Batman in his Golden Age look is kinda weird to me since I see that Batman as their fellow member and contemporary. But just a wonderful, great episode and another B&B winner.

Check out the latest teaser for the JSA debut on smallville

I thought there Dr.Fate was in the close up?

I just saw this episode and I'm going to see it again right before the Smallville JSA but I loved it and the references to many golden age comments.
The first Black Canary's death was sad but I was surprised that she had sonic scream as well. It was funny about how the JSA was acting like father/Grandpa figures to Batman and Black Canary. I was a little scared by Per Datagon and how powerful/closest Nazi reference this show did. I gave this episode a 10/10

Loved it. The JSA is enough, but the playing of mentor aspect, the BTAS poster, the surprising inclusion of the original Black Canary's death, not wimping out on the intensity of the BC II/Per Degaton (Yay, Clancy Brown) fight ...and the quips :-)woot), just excellent.

edit: Oh, sweet mercy, Detective Chimp.

edit 2: I had to rewatch the end bit a few times, but I'm pretty sure Degaton farted right before he collapsed. :funny:
