House of the Dragon Season 2 Episode 6 - "Smallfolk"

I'm feeling mostly the same. Funny enough, for some reason I was expecting it to be even more of a slow build because way before this season started I thought they were going to end the season on the Battle of Rook's Rest instead of it being the midway point. :whoops:
Expectations aren't always a negative thing I guess. 🙂 I think I expected a bit more of troup movements and so on, like when Cole did his tour, but I don't really care what happens as long as I'm liking what I see. I do hope that Daemon can start being more active though, now that there's a new lord paramount of the Riverlands.

Speaking of the lords of the Riverlands, George RR Martin naming the Tully lords after Sesame Street characters is a cute throwaway gag in the book but it gets to be a little too tongue in cheek when they're actually saying their names out loud on the show like Grover and Oscar. :o

Those two names didn't really pull me towards Sesame Street when I heard them in the show. Oscar is a common name (Westeros has a mix of common names, slightly altered common names and fantasy names) and Grover still feels like the grounded fantasy of Westeros and has similarities to others like Hoster, so I think that's why my brain accepts it. I think I'll react much more to Elmo and, especially, Kermit when I read the book. They don't feel like they fit in my brain's Westeros and therefor will likely stand out more as the gags that they are.
