House of the Dragon Season 2 Episode 3 - "The Burning Mill"

That whole brothel sequence was surprisingly explicit, there was a moment right before Aemond that was straight out of Caligula.
I admit I was amazed they went as far as they did in that brothel scene. That was a bit beyond a hard R rating. :(

‘House of the Dragon’ Director on Aemond’s Nude Scene and ‘Mommy Issues,’ That Cameo and All the Criston Cole Hate

When Rhaenyra goes to see Alicent to be like, “Hey, we have to stop this war,” I feel that she’s actually there selfishly for her own emotional reasons. “Did my father love me? Because I thought he loved me, and then he changed his mind with you.” I’m not sure she’s aware that’s what’s driving her. That scene is filled with all the dramaturgy of everything before it.
I’m sorry… how??? I truly don’t get how that scene could be interpreted that way. Rhaenyra didn’t even doubt her father’s love for her until Alicent said that he only said Aegon’s name when he was dying.

Rhaenyra spent a huge chunk of the first season worried that she'd be replaced by Aegon though. Viserys did absolutely nothing to facilitate a smooth transition of power either and heavily limited her involvement in politics. Yes, he stands up for her at the end of 1x08, but even there her desperation is absolutely showing when she pleads with Viserys. Her hearing that Aegon was crowned along with the Green's claim that it was with Viserys blessing would cause that doubt to creep back in IMO.

That's honestly a great question. It's not entirely clear in F&B why certain children get dragon eggs and why others claim riderless dragons. I don't know why Rhaena wouldn't be encouraged to claim Seasmoke or one of the others like Silverwing when her egg failed to be hatch. She is fairly timid, but its clear she desperately wants to be a rider, you'd think she would have tried.
Yeah it’s not even something I was thinking of until the show went out of its way to talk about Seasmoke being lonely and Rhaena thinking Baela was only staying because she had a dragon.
Something else I find interesting about Seasmoke in the show is that unlike the book, Laenor Velaryon is supposedly still alive. While I like the ending that the show gave Laenor last season (barring any unlikely deviation from the book where they end up bringing him back in some capacity), it is odd that Seasmoke has been aimlessly flying around Westeros all that time instead of following his rider across the sea.
