So season 2 is complete and a few things were set up for season 3 in the finale, what is everyone hoping to see next season?

I'm wondering who the main villain might be, obviously Malcolm will be skulking around but I think he is more of a means to an end, basically the catalyst to Thea's development next season. It would be interesting to see a villain with no personal connection to Ollie, maybe HIVE which would allow Digg more involvement.

I'm not keen on the route they have gone with Thea but I am hoping she'll be in on the costumed action next season. I'm also looking forward to Ollie playing spy for ARGUS in Hong Kong, some really interesting potential there.

I think the show will jump ahead 8-10 months so that Roy and Laurel will be deep into training, and Roy will hopefully have a costume beyond his hooded sweatshirt and a mask.

The writers have hinted that they have a back story set for Felicity so hopefully we see that, and last but not least I've still got my fingers crossed for Nightwing. :woot:

Can we please a real count vertigo royal family..

I'm hoping that we see Laurel training with Ted Grant and getting a wardrobe/hair change.

Ollie coming into contact with the Great 10.

Introducing Chesire and family.

Hoping to see more of Ollie's training in the flashbacks, Natas maybe?

Thea becoming Cheshire, no do not want. Cheshire is too cool a character for that. Let Thea be her own thing and bring in Cheshire later. I think that we might get a flashback episode showing how Sara first joined the LOA. Also, Amanda Waller playing a much bigger role.

Nightwing....please?

Also this is the first time I'm really interested to where Thea's story arc goes, although many people don't seem to like it. Maybe we'll see some some cool Merlyn and Thea training scenes.

I'm also interested to see what kind of main villain we'll have after awesome Merlyn and Deathstroke. Probably something to do with ARGUS because of the flashbacks. Maybe they'll go somewhere with H.I.V.E that was mentioned at one point?

I definitely don't want Thea to get in on the action but hey, whatever.

I theorized maybe we'll get Amanda in flashback scenes and now we got them. This finally explains their connection. But I wonder what business she has with Ollie and why she dumped him back on the island (assuming she did, hence her "You're not still mad at me are you?"). Him working for her would be great this season. It could show how he received even more training and with the shift change in location it can open the door to more villains without it seeming forced to have another one show up on the island.

I theorize that towards the middle/end of season 3 we'll find out that the island was used as a prison for other supervillains and somehow Oliver gets locked in there and has to face more DCU characters.

In season 3 I wanna see more Roy training. With Sarah gone he's gonna need a new partner. A Nightwing appearance would be great. I was against it at first cause I want him to still be Robin but it could work. Have him show up and inspire Roy to go solo and move on up from Speedy to Arsenal. Wishful thinking but it'd be cool if in Hong Kong Ollie met with Hal Jordan who is working with or for Waller.

Yeah, that's what they did last season.I'm guessing it will be a time jump that will end just before Digg's baby is born.:woot:

If the TV show ever needs some ideas from comics:

:b.

I'm pretty sure until now the show has followed it's own schedule. Like a 5 month break between season 1 and 2 actually happened in the show, which I think means Diggle's kid would be born in the first half of next season.

I definitely expect the villain in the main story to be related the ARGUS, to coincide with the flashbacks. Maybe someone he knew in Hong Kong that has gone bad.

Solomon Grundy may return, we have Merlyn, Ra's al Ghul...

Olly once said he has saw the things crossing the line of normal, so it could be something with metahumans.

Or magic.

Some great ideas in this topic.

I would love a Cheshire to spice up the Red Arrow character.
Thea can become villainous/ anti-hero Speedy.

I would love if it they bring a Count Vertigo as well as some of the other big Green Arrow villains.

Interactions with Flash will be great as well as some of his villains.

Nightwing/ Hal partnership would be great as well. Even though Roy is Ollie's partner, I believe that Roy should get on his own and have someone on his level as a partner such as Nightwing. Ollie should be more of a mentor figure and should hang out with people matching or surpassing his skills like Hal Jordan, Barry or Bruce.

Well, we've sort of suspected this, but Stephen Amell confirmed on his FB page not long ago: John Barrowman is now a SERIES REGULAR for Season 3.

I wonder if they're going to add another hero. Amell said in one of the cons, don't remember which one, that they're talking about showing a new hero every season

Cool Malcolm is gonna be around but I still think it makes no sense Thea would go with him. Sure everyone lied to her (to be fair, Roy didn't even do anything wrong) but Merlyn killed a lot of people. She doesn't really owe him anything. The fact that she would choose a known murderer over her boyfriend and brother because they kept secrets seems so forced. I really liked her as a little sister. I don't want EVERY character on the show to become a badass fighting machine.

Yeah, with Barrowman a series regular for season 3, it appears that the Thea/Malcolm thing will be one of the bigger running plot-lines for S3. Also, Sara might be playing a bigger role next season than a lot of people thought. She's listed as one of Oliver's main allies in the season 3 official description, alongside Diggle, Felicity, and Roy. Also, since Oliver's going to be in Hong Kong, now would be a great time to bring in either Cheshire, or Lady Shiva, or both.

Agreed didn't make much sense that she went him.

Realistically she should have ran as far away from him as possible, the guy's a psycho. Heck he was proud of Thea for shooting him, what does that tell you about the man's sanity.

And he risked his life to protect her, don't forget that. She's a traumatized teenage girl who's had one crappy thing happen to her after another this season. And she's been lied to/betrayed by everyone she cares about this season. Merlyn, being the master manipulator that he is, played on that.

He doesn't have THAT great of a silver tongue. If I were Thea after having caught everyone I loved in a lie why lose trust for them but trust a maniac as if he won't lie?
