Arrow Arrow Season 5 Changes

1) Oliver needs a Slade-esque villain to really challenge him and disrupt his life.

2) IMPROVE the fight choreography. The action scenes in this show used to be the standout sequences. You could tell they put real effort into them. Now they are borderline pathetic. I'm not asking this show to rise to Daredevil's level but they can do so much better.

3) No more relationship drama. They've exhausted this way too much already and it brings the show down every time.

4) Give the show wider access to the DC Universe again. Part of what made this show so great in season one and two was its reach into the wider DC Universe, its become more restricted the past two years with characters it could use. I want to see more DC characters pop up and maybe have Ollie travel to other cities to make this feel this is really in the DC world again.

1. Go back to the basics. Have the original team back. Oliver, Felicity and Diggle

2. Have Felicity and Oliver get back together once and for all and stop with the realtionship drama. Just make their realtionship part of the background the way Lily and Marshall's realtionship was for most of the time on HIMYM. No weddings, no babies, no bastard sons no nothing. Just the occasional kiss . That's it. Everything else is just work

3. Get a dog as a regular character to keep Felicity company in the lair. What if a serious show like Person of Interest can have a god can goddamn Arrow

4. Introduce Artemis as a new character and hero. Between her sister Cheshire and her Father's Sportmaster you have already covered what you will need for the first half of the season

5. In the second half use the fact that we already have magic to introduce Zatanna. The team now with Artemis on board can help her with some magical problem that ends up with the introduction of Atlantis(and introducing Aqualad while you are at it)

6. Thus we can begin setting up the characters for a possible Young Justice spin off. We already have Wally on Flash, now we have Artemis and a hint of Aqualad and boom. All that is left is Superboy and Miss Martian which can be introduced through Supergirl and the planned Cadmus storyline

7. By this time Legends of Tommorow ought to be cancelled since although I love this shw I imagine the CGI effects costs way too much so you can have Sara Lance as the house mother figure in the Young Justice series which will train and keep an eye out on the team.

I also want Green Arrow to go out on solo missions on his own instead of an entire team and of course to kill off Olicity. Doesnt necessarily mean Felicity has to go, just to tone it down by a lot.

Sounds like you are out of luck:cwink:

I think we can all agree that Season 4 was a bit of a let down after they promised us that the show would be lighter and would embrace the comic books. *cough* killing laurel *cough* I for one still have hope that the show can return to its Season 2 glory days. With Arrow said to be going back to the basics, what do you want to see in Season 5?Personally, i want an interesting big bad without any powers like Constantine Drakon and more interesting flashbacks in Russia with Oliver actually improving on his archery skills unlike Season 3 and 4 where he just uses guns. I also want Green Arrow to go out on solo missions on his own instead of an entire team and of course to kill off Olicity. Doesnt necessarily mean Felicity has to go, just to tone it down by a lot.
What do you want to see?
Oliver can't take a crap on his own anymore. Felicity has to tell what to do and where to go. and when he gets there Felicity has to give him play by play instructions. And he has to bring backup because he constantly loses one on one fights.

I miss the days when he could go on a rescue mission and clear out a building by himself. But Oliver's abilities and skill has gotten worse each season in order to prop everyone else up.

I miss this Oliver so much.

Damn, that was so much better than the fight scenes we get these days.

I would have them still have a team with all of the established members, while using snippets of each members private lives over multiple episodes as transitions where we would see them getting contacted in their private lives showcasing that person's interactions and relationships with the people in their private life as well as what they do for a living thus giving all of the characters their own sense of agency and making it so they aren't just there to be slaves to Oliver and Felicity's will allowing us to connect with them more; fixing the lack of connection with the characters, which is what I feel has been the major problem (that and using their private lives only as a source of annoying and unnecessary angst) of the show since season 3.

Show the team breaking up into twos or solo missions with only one of the sub groups for that episode being on the main plot for the episode while briefly showing flashes of the other groups/members doing their own thing and then bringing in the other members if necessary while also factoring in if they are close enough and how long it would take them to get there, after all what is the point of a group/multiple heroes if they don't act efficiently and coordinate together to take on all of the crime in the city instead of just focusing all of them on one crime at a time. Doing this would allow for tighter and more focused storytelling that would let us get to know each member and different grouping/character interaction through focus episodes and make more sense/improving writing and use of the characters.

For a minor aesthetic I wouldn't mind them showing the team members driving in and out of the garage using that to better flesh out and explore the layout of their new base while simultaneously using them leaving and arriving at their destinations for transitions while occasionally showing short conversations on-route to explore different character dynamics with each other. In exploring the base it would be nice to see the garage itself and their fleet of vehicles, for me their fleet should include color-coordinated/customized motorcycles based on the same model for separate strikes as well as homogenized backups in case some get damaged; a series of modified non-descript panel vans with modified storage bays in the back made to hold their gear and the motorcycles; maybe also a couple of heavy assault vehicles/SUVs with ramming noses attached.
