The Flash Season 8x20: Negative, Part Two (Season finale)

With The Flash still reeling from everything that just happened, the rest of the team rallies to support him when he needs it the most.

Decent finale. Probably one of the better ones this show's had to offer in quite some time, actually. Bart and Nora's and even Jay's inclusion felt a little unnecessary, but whatever. I can't imagine that's the end of Thawne though, especially if next season really is the last.

I'll be honest, I completely forgot about the whole Caitlin/Frost storyline until that last scene.

The stuff with Thawne was solid enough, but the Force stuff (I still don't understand, was the one guy playing both sides? Why was he helping Cecile and then turning around and threatening Thawne and whatnot afterwards?) and the Iris/Darhk scenes were pretty not good. Same with whatever they have Cecile doing these days

All in all a pretty consistent season that I'm pleased with. Hopefully next season really is the last though.

While it's not impossible, I don't think Caitlin turned herself into Frost. If she did, they would've shown that.

I did like Barry using the power of Zen to take down Thawne. Taking a page from Wally's book, I see. I did like their fight throughout the city, in particular Thawne bringing down a freaking plane to try and drop on Barry!

Really just a decent finale butter better then the last 4 finales. I was kind of mad they kept teasing a big cameo.

I thought this was a good finale and the battle between Barry and Thawne was epic. I did like last season’s finale a little more though but this one was definitely huge. Cecile getting telekinesis made laugh out loud just because it’s ridiculous at this point with her power upgrades but whatever. Just like Web-Head said this has most definitely been the most consistent season in years and I hope they keep it up next season.

Also was that a Young Justice reference that Bart made with the aster and no dis line. If so nice shoutout.

If the report about Grant only signing up for 15 episodes that’s a good number or 13. Superman and Lois season 2 had 15 and Batwoman S3 and Legands S7 had 13 and I thought that felt right because the season didn’t feel overly long and drawn out imo. So I’m good with a shorten season final or otherwise.
