It's has come to my attention that many of you would like a contest thread sticky... well here ya go - knock yourselves out.

I can not oversee them like I did in the past, I leave it to you all to make the rules and post your art - I simply give you a thread to do it in!

Ill put out my theme idea (it has prob been done before but what the hey) "what if?" such as "what if the germans had won WW2" or "what if chris nolan had directed spiderman not batman" or "what if superman was in the marvel universe" etc... not necessarily comics based

whats everyone else thinking?

How about a contest where we draw what our heroes would be doing if the was a utopia no crime stryfe etc.

not a bad idea - but could also fit into the what if? one, would be a nice open contest ideas wise seeing as we havnt had any for ages might get more people involved, i know there was a probem with involvement before

Been away from SHH for a while, but now I'm back. Count me in for the contest.

I guess we need a more active user to be our "new Excelsior".

I think the "what if" theme can be something specific, so we can share our different visions of a common background/scenario. Besides, that leaves the "what if" theme open for future contests as well.

Anyway, I'm in. Need to practice.

Here's a few ideas for you guys.

Modernize a 30-40's era pulp character.

Steam punk a contemporary character.

Draw your favorite character emulating the style of a known artist.

"Animalize" a character. Draw Wolverine as a wolverine. Batman as a bat. Superman as an Eagle or Hawk.

Alien versions of known characters.

Compose a movie poster for your favorite character.

Compose a comic book/graphic novel cover.

Design a vehicle for hero or villain who does not currently have one.

Here is my idea:

I had an idea for an art contest, not sure if I need to ask or just start the contest or what,
but here it is, the idea I mean...

Batman Beyond has just been reintroduced as a comic and and bringing back his rogue's gallery. But they are also updating and adding to them,
so what about a Create a Batman Beyond Enemy contest?

You can either create a new enemy for him,
update a pre-existing character like Joker Beyond, Bane, or Hush Beyond,
or update one of the villains from the cartoon show like Shriek or that Hunter guy.

Thats my idea. Could be really fun and creative, skies the limit.
