I have an idea for a contest,
Its a Green Lantern (and the various colored rings) contest.

How about everyone submit a superhero from any comic wearing the ring that person thinks they would wear?
For example, Captain America wearing as a Blue Lantern.
Mr. Crabs from Spongebob as an Orange Lantern.
Or maybe Gwen Stacey as a Black Lantern or Colossus as one of those living dead Black Lanterns (black lanterns who were dead and brought back to life.)

How about that?

Yeah, but that was for the movie. Wasn't it mostly a movie contest?
This would be more the various Latner Corps contest. But yeah, still a GL contest.

Still, it could be fun to see characters like Madman as a Black Lantern, or Dr. Doom as a yellow or Orange Lantern. Or the Hulk as a Red Lantern.

a year back or so, we kinda did a bracketed fanart thing. we had several rounds where we squared off against each other in a bracketed contest like college bball (sweet 16, elite 8, etc).

the lack of official contests feels like we need to take it into our own hands.

im starting a thread to see if there is interest, so look for it.

Well, with the lag in official fanart contest action, I was thinking it might be time to start up another fanart tourney!

The idea is to set up a bracket where there are rounds where people go one-on-one against other SHH-ers, single elimination. It will be similar to a March Madness bracket, if you are familiar with US college basketball.

As this is unofficial, I thinking month-long rounds sounds good, so if this was a four round tourney then this will last four months.

It is unclear how many rounds there will be... It really depends on how many people are interested.

Just to be clear, when we've done it in the past, we've done themed rounds as in:

Round 1: "Marvel"
Round 2: "DC"
etc....

People in so far:

Ok, my first idea was a Lantern contest (drawing other characters as various Lanterns like Hulk as a Red Lantern or Captain America as a Blue Lantern)

But here is another idea,
Super Pets, lots of superheroes have pets
Krypto (Superman), Lockjaw (Inhumans), Lockheed (Kitty Pride), Ace the Bat Hound (Batman), and so on.
So how about making up pets for superheroes and villains who don't have a pet?
Like, what about Red Skull? What sort of pet would he have?
What about Hellboy? The Incredibles (the Pixar movie)? Spider-Man? Would Peter have a Spider-Cat?
It could be a fun idea.
