September 12th, 2008 (Release Date)

IMHO this is a great release date, the big summer movies will be done, it will be a few months since the release of the last comic book movie TDK and fans will want to see another comic book film, so this could be a very good thing, I can't wait to see it.

September 12th, 2008

January 01 2009 was a typo by marvel, they had us worried for a bit until they corrected it the next day. The comfirmed release date is September 12th, 2008
 
If Punisher: War Zone is #2 which one would you forget about...Dolph Lundigren's or Tom Jane's? I would ignore Jane's as while DL did not wear any skull at least the M-60 he used was a more fitting weapon than anything Jane had.

Wow that's a strong cast, Lionsgate should change the relese date of PWZ imo.

Off topic: It's sad, sad time for the world when the names Robert De Niro, and Al Pacino can be used in the same sentence as "50 Cent" as anything other than a joke.

Yeah because the M4 Carbine and M1911A1 Colt .45's aren't weapons the Punisher has ever used. :whatever:
 
What's up with vigilante and revenge movies all coming out around the same time. It's stupid, that's one of the reason they don't live up to their box office potential: i.e. Punisher/Kill Bill/Man on Fire (2004) Shoot 'Em Up/Death Sentence/The Brave One (2007). I think Lionsgate will move the PWZ because they also have the Tyler Perry movie out the same day.

If it has different story elements than any of those 2 its not a sequel. It would be more like a remake of a remake besides I was never really a fan of Dolf's so I liked Jane's Punisher more. That and I'm a 1911 fan so I'm kind of partial too my guns. especially when they start hanging a bunch of bull$hit off them to try too make them look cool:cmad: Stevenson looks great as the Punisher I just think they are going to sink him with a $#itty script. Just my thoughts:whatever:
 
Righteous Kill's trailer was horrible.

Absolutely terrible.
 
Can't wait for a damn trailer. All the pics look great so far.
 
I like this release date too - all the summer stuff is out of the way - and I'll be dying to sink my teeth into another hero flick.
