I'm sure someone else has thought about this, 'cause it really seems obvious. Shia has continued on the path that Ben never got to walk.

If Shia is the new Ben Savage (and really, their hair and comedic styles are so similar it's scary), and Ben Savage was the new Fred Savage (the parallels between Boy Meets World and Wonder Years were a-plenty), then does that make Shia the new Fred?

So if Shia is Ben which makes him Fred, then who the hells the new Josh Saviano?

I had to look up who that was.

And there is no new Josh Saviano. Since Wonder Years went off the air, there has never been another lovable nerdy character on a family show that felt like a genuine person instead of the cartoonish caricature we so often see. Not one who was the lead character's best friend, anyway.

I thought you might seeing as he aint done much since! (apart from being accused that he is Maylin Manson!)

I also didnt know the voice over in the wonder years playing older Kevin is MARV!!! from Home alone how cool is that?

I see very few parallels between Wonder Years and Boy Meets World, other than they're both about young boys growing up into 19/20 year olds by the end of the series.

Wow! I didnt know that.

The humor is drastically different, but there are quite a few things they have in common...

-Both start when the main characters are about Jr. High age, and end when they're in their late teens (although I think the last episode of BMW skipped ahead, because Topanga suddenly wasn't in college anymore)
-The main character's love interest started off as a best friend before the series began, became estranged in Jr. High, and became the love of his life by High School.
-The older brother spent the entire first year as a hateful *****e.
-A Savage Brother played the main character
-In essence, the plot was a long coming of age story about a young man and his journey to adulthood.

Their presentations were just radically different. It's like comparing Step By Step to The Brady Bunch. One clearly influenced the other, but the newer one went in a whole different direction.

I can't even compare them. Shia is an awesome actor though, and I'm glad he's doing adult roles. I was afraid he'd go the way of so many other child stars.

. . . .Like . . . Ben . . . .Savage! :whatever:

Except the Savage brothers were mildly talented and Shai is not.

You gotta admit, Shia is like the only half-way respectable person to come out of the Disney farm since Keri Russell came from the Mickey Mouse Club.

I don't see how. He's a pretty big *****e bag.

I love Shia. Dude has charisma in spades. If he finds the right roles (which I believe he did with Disturbia) he'll be around for a long time.

He stole every scene in Constantine - stealing scenes from Keanu Reeves is always impressive.

I haven't met him personally, but I don't find his performances annoying, and he's managed not to get caught doing copious amounts of drugs or recording a poorly put together album.

I know multiple people who have worked with/around him and from what I hear he is a jerk.

And I honestly have yet to be able to sit through any of his movies. I haven't even seen Indy 4 because I don't like him that much. :(

It was written by post-1980s George Lucas. Shia LaBeouf is the least of your concerns.

Well, I saw TF once and regret that till this day and I have made it my duty not to see anything else he ever does.

I'm not a Shia fan, but I found him decent in Indy 4.

i'm definitely not a Shia fan, thought he was garbage in Indy 4 and just meh in Transformers.

His performance in Eagle Eye (however bland and crap the film was) was pretty good though, actually showing genuine emotion and everything.

I love shia in Even Stevens. Yup. Classic
