Hey, I recently did (directed, filmed, edited) a short film that won first place (against 12 other films) in a local high school competition. I'd appreciate it if you guys could drop some thoughts.
Here's the link.

There were four topics to choose from, Irony, Extraordinary, or Hallways. It had to be 5 min or less. Thanks in advance for watching.

The editing is very nice, but the content is a bit lacking. Were you thinking about the audience when you made this film? If so, what were you trying to make them feel?

My advice, take your viewers on more of a ride.

Thank you for watching, I was thinking of a general audience, something everyone relates too.

Yes, but did you what emotions did you want to envoke in them? Did you want to piss them off, cheer them up, make them awe and oooh?

It was a combination, i wanted a funny underline, but for different scenes i wanted different emotions, for example: the end was more of a chill out time, to sum it all up, while... the basketball scene was more "ooh's and ahh's" as you put it.

Haha. It was late, Yes there were only three, glad you enjoyed it though. Thanks for watching man.

I Love the Editing, but why in the hell would anyone save a chemical from a mad man?

Nice work!

As a filmmaker myself, I'm interested....but watching videos online and pretending to work don't mix. I'll try to watch it later.

Well hey, I wouldn't but....maybe........someone would lol?

My original plan for that scene was to take multiple shots (chemical spilling on him, ect.). But alas, I was in the science lab before school, and the setting up, lighting ect, took more time then i suspected. Long story short, we didn't have the time to do the scene the way i wanted.

Thanks for watching, glad you enjoyed.

Do you have any of your films online?

sadly, no. I might in the near or distant future, but not as of now.

Come on guys, some comments would be rad.

I really liked your short film. I couldn't stop laughing when everyone was chasing the guy out of the gym hall near the start. I thought everything was done well .

I have a test footage up but It's not getting a good response, but its only test footage. What editing equiptment and camera do you have?
