I found a place where they sell Absolute Watchmen and Watching the Watchmen, but which should I get? Doesn't Watching The Watchmen have all the bonus features of the Absolute edition? Please I need advice! :csad:

Watching The Watchmen contains alot more "behind the scenes" stuff than the Absolute Edition. Absolute Watchmen has 48 pages of "making of" material, whereas Watching the Watchmen has 208 Pages. If you already have the novel and want alot of behind the scenes material, then I would say get Watching the Watchmen, however if you dont already own the book and dont really mind about the making of stuff then get the Absolute edition.

I found Watching the Watchmen a bit disappointing. Great art, but I wish there had been more commentary by Gibbons.

I'd go with Absolute.

Thanks, I already own the novel so I guess I'll get myself Watching the Watchmen.

Much appreciated!

Same here. It was cool to see all of Gibbons' annotations everywhere, but it got a little old and I lost interest about halfway through.

I wish there was more material from Moore in Watching the Watchmen. I was very disappointed that only the first page of the opening letter was published. I would have liked to read that whole thing.

I think the hardcover adds enough, but if you have the money go absolute.

I'd go Absolute. The "re-mastered" colors are beautiful, thick paper, hardcover, slipcase and the larger format makes the book a piece of art. If you're a collector like myself you'll really enjoy it!

I just picked up Watching the Watchmen since I already own the graphic novel.

First, well worth the ~ $30 I payed for it.
It is very high quality, reminds me of those "Collecting Batman/Superman" series.

Nitpicks...

It opens up really strong, going through the initial process. If you want to know how it came about, this will tell you.

After a few chapters it gets very redundant.
Page after page of black and white thumbnails of really no interest.

I expected much more unused content (deleted scenes).

I would have loved more comparison with Moore's writing. They basically show you a single page of text. Maybe Moore didn't want to allow anymore.

Someone made the horrible decision of using jet black pages with purple text. Very hard to read unless sitting next to the sun.

I haven't finished yet but I was loving every page at the start, then by the middle, I was just rapidly flipping page after page of B&W sketches which are exactly the same panels that were used.
