From CD's to MP3's? I know I'm a little late and I'm probably the only one left that hasn't got one by now. Are CD's going the way of the VHS?
Is there going to be a market for them for awhile? I'm just not really in the mood to buy all of my Black Sabbath, Rob Zombie, Iron Maiden, Led Zeppelin and Alice Cooper songs. I know that if I do I'm getting an Ipod, as far as I'm concerned the Zune is a pile of turtle turds.
 
Get itunes and load all your CDs onto it. You don't have to buy them all again.
 
Yeah, it takes a while to put everything on there but once you're done you can carry your ipod around with your whole CD collection to choose from.

Change the name to something respectable like Coldplay when you load them up and you'll be fine. :)

Also, if you need to backup your iPod onto another computer, look into Senuti (itunes backwords). it's a nice little program.

CDs will be around as long as Cars continue to use CD players and radios. I imagine it will change...but not for the moment.

They're one of the most popular bands in the UK. All different kinds of people like them. I'm not even particularly into the type of music, they're just one of the best at what they do IMO.

i still have a cd player and cds' the only reason i haven't changed is cause i'm lazy and i don't have the money to do so.
 
Now that I have an iPod, I can't live without it. Of course, I don't have a stereo in my car since someone decided they deserved it more than I did, but everywhere I go I'm listening to music.

It just gives you so much more energy when you can walk around and rock out. I'm a hardcore mp3 shipper now :up:

Don't worry, dude. I don't have an Ipod either! I'm kickin' it old school with my CDs! ;)

True, it does give you a good vibe even if you're just standing in a packed train or going for a quick walk.
 
I use an 8GB Zen MicroPhoto. It costs about $50 less than an 8GB iPod nano, and it comes with the ability to listen to FM radio built-in.

Just giving you ideas...
 
I've got one of the old ipods just before all that nano stuff. Are the nano ones any good? They look a bit lightweight for my tastes.

It's just a smaller iPod, that's all. I used to have a Shuffle but now I have a Nano, and I like it just fine. Make sure you buy a case for it though :p
