Shows that have changed noticeably from one season to the next

I'm surprised nobody's mentioned Heroes yet. The first season was awesome, but the quality of the show declined immediately after that. Of course, much of the blame can be placed on the writers' strike, but it's a shame that the ball was dropped so early in the game.

Yeah, most of season one was okay, but from the first season finale onwards it was a total crapfest.

Heroes declined because the head writer responsible for its awesomeness was let go and went on to do his own equally awesome, but underrated, show. They brought him back as damage control, but it was too late.

Stargate Universe, seasons 1 and 2 were very different with season 1 very much trying to break away from the established tone of the franchise and moved at a very slow pace. The 2nd season was alot more like the Stargate we all knew, alot more action oriented and more humour in there, it was the better season but unfortunately didn't save the show, despite being great television IMO.

Second "True Blood". Yikes...

Being Human (UK) has seriously gone pear-shaped in series 4, much of that having to do with casting issues, but suddenly it feels like a supernatural "Terminator: TSSC".

Oz after season 4 , I have never see deeper decline in quality in any show . The last 2 seasons were atrocious . The first 4 were brilliant . WTF happened there

I Dream of Jeannie changed from Season 1 to 2. It became more zany and the music went from a more breezy, romantic theme to the cheeky and more well known tune with which most are familiar.

Glee is one of the worst offenders, and most current ones. It goes from a musical absurdist comedy in one season, to one "trying" to depict "teen issues" in savage realism in another.

Yeah, I was going to mention Glee.

Season 1 was a satire of teen soaps clichés and high school stereotypes. Seasons 2 and 3 turned the show into a teen soap full of clichés based on high school stereotypes.

Such a shame.
