Good twist. I really hope that they go back to a final two though.

Probst teased in his Entertainment Weekly interview that more twists are yet to come. If I'm not mistaken the two tribes/one beach twist has been lifted from one of the international versions of the game (I want to say the Dutch version but I'm not positive). Based on the name, I am thinking many of the twists will be borrowed from international versions of the game.

Also, there are rumors that the tribes [blackout]are divided by gender[/blackout]. The purpose is kind of defeated by the two tribes, one beach, eh?

I really do hope they return to a final two. Final threes have become pointless. There is always someone that doesn't get any votes at all.

No redemption, increased "non-challenge based" contact between the tribes and no returning players is a huge improvement over the past several seasons. Looking forward to February already.

I think the purpose of the gender divide is just so that it's easy for the audience to keep straight who's on which tribe. There'll probably be a tribe swap at some point, anyway.

I´d actually like for them to do a season were there are no tribes. Have it be a 20 people game at the beginning and see how it develops when you don't have the artificial alliance creator that are the tribes. This would create a completely different dynamic for the show and one that should make things harder for people to stick to their initial plans and strategies.

Has for final two or final three I have to say that I prefer having three people at the end since it makes it much more likely that there will be two contenders at the end rather then the winner and who ever was the least likely to win.

I'd like a final two as well. The final three seems completely useless, there's almost always someone that gets shutout.

I think the twist this season might be interesting, at least it's something new.

Do we know for sure that there's no Redemption Island? They didn't mention it, but has there been confirmation that it won't be around this season? I hope it's over with ... I think it has run it's course.

They've kept the stupid idols in play ever since they were introduced. I can't imagine they'll get rid of Redemption Island after just two seasons.

^ they dropped Exile Island.

Jeff tweeted that it was temporary awhile back. I'm betting against it but won't be surprised if they use it again. Hopefully not with this season , the twist is good enough and I'm looking forward to it.

I wish they'd go back to the Outback. I loved that season.

The only thing I didn't like about Africa was no water. For some reason I enjoy seeing them on a beach setting and I also like the water challenges. I'd be cool with the Outback again, though.

It's not the setting that matters, it's the people playing and the rules they have to play by. Outback was great because it was the second season and players were still learning how the game worked and everything was still fresh to us the viewers.

That's why I want a big change to how the game is played. Having everyone start on the same beach is a nice twist but it would be better if there weren't any tribes since that would alter the way the game works in ways that none of the players could have anticipated.

If there were no tribes from the start, would you want to start out with individual immunity challenges too?

Yes, maybe to spice things up there would be three or four people who get immunity to begin with (to give physically strong players a chance to survive long enough to form alliances).

One or two players get immunity and get to pick another player or two for immunity? Might be interesting to see alliances grow (and be exposed). Heck, I might even like that idea with the current format once they merge.

Obviously the players are the most important part to a successful season. I still enjoy seing cool settings and challenges, though.

That would be pretty cool...that would throw people in scramble mode almost immediately.

The other thing I'd still love to see would be multiple shuffles/tribal splits. Instead of merging once when they get to 10 or 11 players (Ultimately leading to one tribe voting out everyone else...making for a boring few weeks), why not reshuffle the tribes 3 or 4 times during the season. It would kill all but the strongest of alliances and necessitate alot more strategy amongst the players.

I'm confused on how this One World is going to be, are they living as one tribe on the beach, but separated by teams, or are there two tribes on the same beach living a couple of yards away from each other?

I know people aren't big fans of the concept, but I would really like to see a Hantz showdown in a future show.

One World will have two tribes living on the same beach.

If they ever did a season without tribes I think they should use random draws to begin with to form teams that compete to win immunity. Let's say that they start with 18 players, they could then either use a random draw or a school yard pick to form three teams of 6 for the reward challenge and then have them do it all over again for the immunity challenge. The goal would be to avoid having people form alliances just because they are always on the same team and indeed set things up so that players who have formed alliances have to compete against each other early on when those alliances are still new and untested.

From my point of view the most important thing is to create an environment that people don't see coming and have no real idea about how to deal with at the start. That would make things a lot more interesting for the viewers and for the players. Ideally they would first do this for a fall season so that the players for the spring season haven't seen it so we would get two seasons worth of players having to cope with a drastic change to the game.

I like that idea of reshuffling a couple of times, too. Anything to really put a strain on these alliances that have been forming. With the editing they try and add some drama, but nobody has really been making big moves (Cochran, I guess, but at the wrong time).

I love that those two probably rank highest on the producers list of people never to invite back again. Especially Nayonka. She was a ****-talker, but when push came to shove, she didn't have what it takes.

I still hate that they allowed those two to be on the jury...if you quit, you should be removed from the game entirely.
