Shameless is one I've had suggested to me numerous times. I remembered watching part of the first episode years ago but just felt a bit turned off by a scene early on and quit watching. Maybe I'll give it a 2nd go-around and try again. This one I might like if give it more of a chance I suppose.

Under the Dome I've heard some people (not friends) talk about too but just couldn't get through the whole first season.

Revolution is another TV show just too over the top action in the first episode to really bother continue watching.

Lost is another I have some family that liked but felt well lost after watching some of the initial episodes but stopped watching moreso due to all the negative backlash I heard about it with people saying the show was directionless.

As far as older sitcom type shows, Friends I sort of found annoying so never really bothered watching.

When I was a kid, it was Friends and Buffy. I never got into those shows despite knowing so many that did. I would give Buffy another try though. Friends, not so much.
