Discuss shows that you used to watch when you were younger, but discovered they don't interest you anymore now.

Really the only shows still on the air that I used to watch religiously and have since grown out of are The Simpsons and Family Guy, aka the shows that the Fox network won't let die. Family Guy I recently quit watching but I haven't laughed at it in years. As for The Simpsons, I kind of lost interest in that almost 20 years ago but I've watched a few episodes here and there since and enjoyed the movie. I'll never say no to watching the classic episodes from the first 9 or 10 seasons on Disney+, though.

My fear of CW shows is the teen drama tropes that are forced into most of them cause that's the target demo. It's why I want them to save Stargirl and Superman and put them on Max.

I do still watch Stargirl but it's also a take it or leave it. Flash looks like it's upcoming season will be it's last and I have no idea if Batwoman is going to make it another year either. Superman might be the only one which ironically, I have yet to start watching.

I also have to say a lot of DC CW shows. It seems like they lose their magic after 2 or 3 seasons. I didn't watch the last 2 seasons of Arrow (but I came back for the finale, which was awful), the last season of Supergirl, I stopped watching Legends around the time Routh left.

Now I still "have" to watch a couple of episodes of Flash... so that's probably going to be the next one I'm quiting. That's how it usually starts.

Supernatural
Riverdale
Few others but will update when I remember.

Doing a rewatch of Buffy and I can say right now Buffy/Angel is definitely something I find cringey now.

Legends of Tomorrow, Greys Anatomy, Walking Dead, How to Get Away With Murder. When I was younger I would definitely hate watch every show I started with to the very end but these days I just cant bring myself to do it.

I used to watch all of those too. I watched them all well past my enjoyment of them. Sometimes multiple seasons worth.

A lot of other shows I used to watch to the sometimes literally bitter end but I realized some time ago that it kept me from enjoying other shows because I have only so many hours in a day (if I am lucky) to watch something and watching something I used to enjoy but no longer do was a waste of that time.

Game of Thrones is probably the last series I hate watched to the end. And "hated" is not understating how much I felt about that final season and the finale.

Billions
The Blacklist

When I was in my early teens I used to watch Charmed any time it was on TV and I guess a mixture of good looking girls and the supernatural really sucked me in. Looking back at it from being older and wiser, that show is not great.

On one hand, the show is terrible. On the other hand, Alyssa Milano…

Oh yeah TWD is another one I lost interest in. I stopped watching after Rick left.

Simpsons and Family guy.

I still enjoy South Park though

Yeah I'm gonna say Buffy and Charmed are definitely on my list. I'm still doing a Buffy rewatch to see if the college years make a difference, but right now there's this one character who is singlehandedly ruining the show for me. :funny:

Walking Dead and The Simpson’s come to mind

I still watch the first 10 or so seasons of the latter. TWD bastardizing my fave characters will never be forgiven.

I'm still watching TWD but it barely resembles what it used to be when it was at its peak popularity 5-10 years ago. Once it's done, I can't see myself ever revisiting it even though I own most of the Blu-rays. The final season of Game of Thrones didn't even deter me from rewatching the whole series again two summers ago. Say what you will about how it ended, but at least GOT didn't endlessly drag everything out the way TWD has. If anything, it was the opposite problem. :o

Prison Break and Once Upon a Time. Both shows basically finished the main story they were telling at the end of the first season.

I also still have to watch the last couple of seasons of The Office. I quit watching at the time when Michael left. Andy just seemed like a lame copy of him. ("Now he's the silly boss")

Doesn't help that TWD lost about 90% of the original cast. (Especially their lead) Imagine if GOT was still going on, but without any of the characters we met in season 1. People would've probably also lost interest in that at some point.

Bunch of shows that I just stopped watching but shows that I actually grew out of? South Park for sure.

I still like old episodes but all the politics and the "everyone is stupid", complaining without posing viable solution a lot of the time comes across as really childish. Especially coming from 2 dudes that are in their 50s. The political commentary isn't that clever to me anymore.

I don't know if the show getting worse or I'm not in middle school-college anymore, but I tried watching some of the newer episodes and just thought it was kind of lame.
