What other movies would you like to see involving musicians?

My vote would have to go with Ozzy Osbourne.

1. He was in Black Sabbath- pretty much invented Heavy Metal as we now know it.
2. He was/and sometimes still is a huge druggie.
3. He bit the head off a bat, and had to get rabbies shots.
4. His best friend (who just so happens to be one of the greatest guitarists ever) dies in a plane crash.
5. He peeed on the Alamo, resulting in a ban.
6. He has been accused of being Satanic and has used Occult/Satanic themes in his music.
7. He retired.
8. He came out of retirement
9. Had his own popular reality show.
10. Became a popculture/advertising icon
11. Rejoined black sabbath
12. Started the most succesful rock festival ever.
13. Has been diagnosed with Parsons disease
14. Continues to tour in his twilight years.

The list could go on and on. This should be a trilogy.

I also think the Misfits could translate well. As well as Metallica, Marvin Gaye and Hank Williams Jr.

yeah and also
Led Zeppelin, The Sex Pistols, Lynard Skynerd ect.

I still say Ozzy would make a great movie.

Mozart. Yes, we were given Amadeus, but I'm game for another biography.

Easily, the LED ZEPPELIN STORY

Starring:

Heath Ledger as Robert Plant

Colin Hanks as Jimmy Page

Jack Black as John Bonham

and Owen Wilson as John Paul Jones

only that's based solely on looks as it would be pretty grueling to watch those guys fake British accents and even pretend to play any of their music.

Well, there was a bio film on Johnny Rotten. It was pretty good, but extremely depressing and bleak.

I would love to see a movie about Led Zeppelin and Jimi Hendrix. Janis Joplin would also be interesting.

I would love to see a Bob Marley movie with Mos Def.

If Ledger and Hanks could fake accents, they wouldn't be too bad.

That being said, I'd love to see a Stevie Wonder movie. Or a Sinatra movie.

BTW, anyone hear about that Keith Moon movie with Mike Myers?

There are Hendrix and Joplin biopics in the works. The Hendrix one will suck, though. It stars Andre 3000 and supposedly Tarrentino is really going to direct it.

Ozzy's no mystery anymore but I'd probably still go see a biopic on him. Otherwise I wouldn't mind seeing a Kurt Cobain, Bob Marley or Roky Erickson movie. An Erickson has been on the drawing board for a little while and Jack Black has expressed an interest in playing the psychedelic icon. As far as Led Zeppelin goes, I don't want a movie. The band kept thier private lives pretty secret and I'd like it to stay that way. That's one of the reason's why I feel music from the '60s and '70s is more iconic than most music today. With the internet we know too much about our favorite artists.

2 words...Bob Dylan.

Actually, there is going to be a Dylan movie. Many different people are going to act out scenes in his life. I think even a woman will play him in one part.

Yeah, I heard about that, but I'd rather see a legit biopic rather than they're doing now.

So would I, but what they're doing does sound interesting. Anyway, overall, I have mixed feelings about biopics. While I like watching the life stories of musicians I admire I don't like that many people, kids and teenagers mostly I'd imagine, will see said musician as the actor who plays them.
