I kind of don't want Sleepy Hollow to end. However, the show has really lost itself this season.
In the first season you had this unraveling sense of mystery. The forces of evil were encroaching. Sleepy Hollow seemed to be this odd epicenter of supernatural activity.
Taking Katrina out of Purgatory wasn't so terrible, however taking her out and involving her with Abraham/Horseman was awful. Now she's basically betrayed her own ****ing husband out of sense of bizarre guilt/loyalty to Abraham. To not lose faith in your son as he had become a horseman himself is one thing...but the vain and petty Abraham? FFS.
To me, serializing the season wasn't the bad move, it was all the bad writing in plotting.
For example. Hawley has some unfinished thing going on with Jenny. Then he is going after Abbie and the show teases them getting into a relationship. Now he is going back with Jenny. IMHO, that's bad writing.
Also, it's not that I dislike the Hawley character, but he's appeared far too much on the show. He doesn't need to be a regular. Like someone they can consult for help now and again.
