Did anyone used to watch/remember this show?

I used to love this show.

The Exiles comic book can only dream of being this entertaining. A good, likeable cast, and some really strong episodes. A classic, the one of the best Sci-Fi and family programs of the nineties.

I loved the episode were there were no men in the world, and every woman wanted to get laid. I would have just stayed.

I never really knew anything about the show or herd about it until i saw the reruns on sci-fi then i got hooked. The show was pretty good until they replaced all the original characters.

I liked this show for the first season. I started to hate it when they started to rip off scripts and ideas from the latest fad movies, like episodes with Dinosaurs because of Jurassic park and the whole addition of the Cro-Mags right after ID4.

The show started to tank and suck badly towards the end. But, the 1st season was glorious.

Not so much remade but the one franchise I think deserves to be resolved, and continued on the big screen is the show Sliders.

I would love for a big screen adventure with the entire original, and final cast.
I loved that show, and was so let down at how Sci Fi ruined the show, and even got rid of the main leads in the show.

I wouldn't want it remade, and re started but an actual conclusion to the show would be awesome.

Maybe pick up where the last season ended, and send it off in a grand 2 hour film or a few more seasons would be awesome!

Soo... a conclusion which includes the original cast of a Tv show that ended almost 8 years ago (some of those actors do not look so good now lol).. would really suck to be them.. sliding for 8 years..

I think a new (re-start) TV series would be the better option.

I could see a remake of Sliders working, if they go back to the original concept. A movie, however, I don't see working.

The only good season to this show was season 1. Not only did they do the sliding episodes but a couple of times they showed stuff happening on their "earth prime" with the feds going to Quinn's house.

I wouldn't mind seeing a remake of this show not sure I would want to see a movie. As long as the show stayed away from the movie fads and stuck with the original concept. It got really tiring seeing them slide into Jurassic Park or the whole concept of the Cro Mags...ugh that just got really bad.

Do a remake and fix the mistakes. Don't kill off the Professor, marginalize Maggie, keep Wade as the central female character, don't turn Quinn into some weird hybrid of two different dimensions Quinns, no Collin, and for the love of God...NO CRO MAGS!

Agreed. I always found it funny they made Cro-mags out to be something other than humans, when in reality they were a type of homo sapien and precursor to current humans (if you believe in evolution :P) They really should have be the Neandrathals if they wanted to make them separate, at least genetically Neandrathals were a different species.

Ok guys the season 4 set is out today. I have two question for any one who might get it today and watch it. First is the episode cuts the full cuts seen in canada and other non us stations or is it the cuts aired on scifi channel that cut parts of episodes out. Second thing is did they put any extra in the set like for example the special scifi channel aired before season 4 started on scifi. Thanks if any one can answer my questions.

Loved it while it was on until BBC2 stopped showing it around Season 3 or 4, can't remember now.

I started watching this show when it was originally on Fox but then they later cancelled it & then Sci-Fi Channel picked it up. Since I didn't have Sci-Fi Channel when Sliders switched over I missed out on being able to watch it & eventually lost interest in it until I later got Sci-Fi Channel & watched all the reruns of the show that I had missed out on.

Never underestimate how forgiving fans can be. The Fifth Doctor just showed up in a short for the new Doctor Who series and people seemed to like it, in spite of the Fifth Doctor's run ending in 1984 and the extra chin he'd picked up in the intervening time.

I'd be on board for a proper ending or a remake, though. The original series got a lot of things wrong and felt really dystopian and depressing by the final season, with almost the entire original cast dead or otherwise screwed over.

I got the First and second season on dvd. I would like to buy the third season. My favorite espidoes were he slides to world hes a ghost only one girl can see him. I also like the one were they go on world thats a western world.
