Smallville's Take on DC Universe Characters!!!

The Best:

1) Brainiac/Milton Fine
2) Metallo/John Corben
3) Jonathan Kent
4) Martha Kent
5) Lex Luthor (despite how disappointing his final episode was)
6) John Jones
7) Toyman/Winslow Schott
8) Lois Lane
9) Cosmic Boy/Rokk Krinn
10) Zatanna Zatara
11) Saturn Girl/Imra Ardeen
12) General Zod
13) Morgan Edge
14) Perry White
15) Emil Hamilton
16) Dan Turpin
17) Cyborg/Victor Stone
18) Speedy/Mia Dearden
19) Lightning Lad/Garth Ranzz
20) Maxima

The 'Meh' OK:

1) Green Arrow/Oliver Queen (Wish he was closer to the comics version)
2) The Blur/Clark Kent
3) Impulse/Bart Allen
4) Jor-El
5) Bizarro
6) Kara Kent (Shouldn't have been brought on Smallville to begin with)
7) Curtis Knox
8) General Lane
9) Tess Mercer
10) Lara-El
11) Faora
12) Dr Claire Foster
13) Roulette/Victoria Sinclair
14) Cat Grant
15) Lucy Lane
16) Nam-Ek
17) Aethyr
18) Persuader

The Worst:

18) Davis Bloomesday
17) Zor-El
16) Bridgette Crosby
15) Maggie Sawyer (Should be much younger than Dan Turpin)
14) The Wonder Twins/Zan and Jayna
13) Shelby/Krypto
12) Brunno Mannheim
11) Black Canary/Dinah Lance (Looks horrible)
10) Parasite/Rudy Jones
9) Aquabro/Arthur Curry (Should have gone with the badass King of Atlantis, not the complete opposite)
8) Neutron
7) Plastique/Bette Sans Souci
6) Livewire/Leslie Willis
5) Pete Ross
4) Andrea Rojas
3) Mikhail Mxyzptlk
2) Jimmy Olsen
1) Lana Lang

You put Dan Turpin waaay too high.

interesting views guys on like/dislike/ok takes on characters list.

I kinda wish they had just called the character Mercy Graves instead of Tess Mercer.

yea i know i wouldnt see what the harm would have been right.

They obviously wanted to pay tribute, both to Mercy and to Miss Tessmacher. But, as a character, she's pretty much nothing like Miss Tessmacher, and almost completely similar to Mercy. They should've just called her Mercy Graves.

I like how they introduced some of the DC characters to Smallville. IMO, the best guy that they brought in was Brainiac. The guy who played him did a great job playing him. I just wish that they'd put in Batman, Wonder Woman, and Green Lantern. :(

Yea brainiac has been one of my fav villains they brought in from the superman world, then i would say toyman was a good addition too. As for lex the two easiest reasons could be are;
1. Lex is truly dead and is brought back via black magic.
2. Lex was never really dead, and the lex we saw in the truck that blew up was just a clone. And the real lex was somewhere else watching things go down.

Personally i think the clone route is the best one to go with. Since we have had clones on the show for years now. Now i just hope if they do really plan on getting michael to return they would lay the seeds to give the characters doubt that lex is gone. So he isnt just brought back out of the blue.

I would think it would be more likely the Lex that would return would be a clone, with no memories of Clark's secret to align with the mythos.

It's too silly for Lex to have created a clone of himself with all the exact injuries he sustained in 'Arctic' that also had a vendetta against Clark and Lana.

The black magic would be a cop-out, and would undo the development in 'Hex' about bringing the dead back.

So at some point, I'd say they'd need to clone a new Lex to bring the character back into the fold.

well even if the lex in the truck was a clone, they could always say the real lex was never really as injuried as everyone believe him to be. Only the clone was either do to be a cover, or he wasnt a fully developed clone.

But then what would be the logic of cloning a Lex with the injuries? Especially since no one even saw injured Lex.

Injured Lex was also relying on Project Prometheus as his lifeline originally to recover, before Lana stole it.

That had to have been the real Lex who died in the truck.

well they could spin it many different ways we dont know.

I have a question:
who do you guys think the smallville version of the proto JLA is most like from comics, cartoons, tv shows ect.
personally I think it's a mix of the batman and the outsiders: replace batman with GA and it's a perfect match. pro active superhero vigilantes who superman has a problem with. Viewed as criminals try to work alone. etc
JSA: mystery/masked men/vigilanties
silver age JLA: wasn't inspired by JSA
Mark Waid's JLA: Year One: Green Arrow funds the team. Black Canary, Flash(or Impulse/Bart Allen in Smallville), Aquaman, Martian Manhunter(Green Arrow considered him as a member in Bullet Proof, helped JLA in Justice and Doom under the codename "Ezra",
and is going to be part of the JLA in Absoulote Justice movie
).Superman doesn't wants to be a member at first but then he decides to help them when they need it(in post crisis comics with threats like Xanthos the criminal from the future, in Smallville Justice, siren, crisis in Keystone during Hex, Doomsday, etc). Black Canary hates GA at first but then slowly loves him
Green Lantern and Green Arrow’s JLA in Cry of Justice: This version is a proactive team of superheroes who seek justice through various places.

yea it seems things are a bit of a mix and match of different things from various ends of the comic history/background.
