Batwoman issue two and it looks absolutely fabulous i just cannot wait! I am overjoyed that Kate finally is getting her own ongoing and i am just loving the sound of this series so much

I really really hope there not going to kill off King Shark in Suicide Squad I loves that shark man.

Yay Legion of Superheroes is looking pretty neat. Levitz run on them has been one of the best so far I think

Stuff like that is why I love comics, if you suggested that idea for a movie someone would think you are crazy, hell even mentioning the idea to a non comics fan or somebody who only reads them occasionally usually draws an "um... okay".

For instance I can tell my wife (a very very very a casual comics reader) stuff like "Oh that got changed when Superboy Prime punched a hole in the wall in reality which messed with the continuity." and I get this confused look as though I'd just said something in Chinese. But say something like "Oh these guys are gonna fight the ****ing moon." to another comic nerd and their like "Ok cool, lets go."

Indeed. And one of the most awesome, and I know Cornell can make it rock. So glad that he's landed on his feet after he had to drive his Action Comics run into the ground thanks to being forced to participate in Reign of Doomsday. Both of his relaunch books sound pretty awesome.

Yep any book that stars Apollo and Midnighter and has them fighting the moon itself definitely gets the from me

And Demon Knights just sounds like fun on a bun. I'm really interested in these new characters he's creating like the Amazon warrior who has chosen to leave Paradise Island for mysterious reasons

Not a fan of Reign of the Doomsdays then

Its in the same vein of stories like Fear Itself that ask questions like "hey what if there was/what if the heroes had to face off against more than one (insert enemy, object, weapon etc here)?" Apparently lots of smashing of things and really bad writing from what I gather just about every time.

Must confess I haven't read any Avengers Academy, I've heard good things about the tie in but I dropped every tie in to Fear Itself except for Journey Into Mystery and I still read the main title.

Also have to say I be digging Circe's redesign and its pretty nice to see some of Wonder Woman's villains show up

Hope their going to appear in her series too

And that Wonder Woman issue sounds good though i hope they are not going to kill off too many Amazons in that story

I've meant to pick up Academy and Secret Avengers in trades (and I plan to follow Secret Avengers on a monthly basis next month when Ellis takes over writing). I did follow Avengers and New Avengers for a while once they relaunched but then the store I get comics from (an entertainment/book store thusly not a real LCS) stopped ordering more than like three copies of just about every book from the big 2 and somebody always gets the Avengers books first so I sort of just dropped out of reading them.

So officially which books from the relaunch are you picking up?

I've definitely decided to add Frankenstein: Agent of SHADE to my pull list. I think that's the only other book I have even a remote interest in reading. I'm considering adding The Shade maxi-series too, but considering I haven't read Starman before, I'm not sure. Like with anything else that may strike my interest, I won't add anything else until September when I've managed to see what's good and what isn't.

I was kind of hoping for a new Spirit series, but considering how awful the character's been treated outside of Darwyn Cooke's run and the First Wave mini(The Spirit First Wave on going was terrible), I doubt we'll get anything new. Maybe DC should let some other company have the character, like Dark Horse. Or just keep the character as far removed from the DCU as possible and get a team that actually gives a crap about the character.

Some of these titles look pretty decent, but any excitement that I had for any of them has kind of fizzled out. The relaunch has been spoken about so much that I'm just bored of hearing about it and I can't muster any anticipation.

At least Teen Titans looks some what better visually with Norm Rapmund on the art with Brett Booth as opposed to Booth just going full out Image style on us. The costumes still suck though.

Cornell writes a fab Vandal Savage so that sounds good to me. He is like an evil Brian Blessed

And I like the sound of the kick ass amazon warrior in this series too
