Hey all, here is some of my work. I'm studying to be a graphic designer, but would like to go into illustration later on. I've been drawing for about 16 years now, only taking it on seriously in the last few. Here is a link to my page, http://watsondonald.deviantart.com/

AND here are some samples. *My scanner really sucks and makes things a little blurry/smudgy. Working on getting a better one.* Let me know what you think:

Nice stuff, I like your eye for colors and shading, also I dig your Logan.

Friendly suggestions
This is similar to earlier shadowing I did - May I suggest learning what I call "The Color wheel" of which reqires learning what warm and offset colors to use additional colors to show depth, perception, and dimension - not to mention allowing it to look less flat

I can give more details on this and even provide samples based on my art if interested

I like you work fella, really like your use of colour and shading keep up the work work.:)

@Arch Nerd: Thank you, I did a reverse one with Batman, but I don't think it came out quite as well.

@Grafffik: Will do and thanks for the suggestion. Colouring has never been my thing. Only started getting into it when I started a webcomic with a buddy of mine. But any help you could offer me I'd appreciate!

@B-man: Thank you sir:)

More on the way!!

I added some colors to a chest area of one of your images - the colors are subtle not harsh - done to original size

more deliberate and darker tone of the colors -> http://i516.photobucket.com/albums/u322/grafffik/RandomArt/chest-2.jpg

depends on your intent - some like subtle - some like harsh - some like it so-so (sounds like life)

save it on your hdd zoom to larger to see details

I see what you mean there and thanks for the examples! That really helps :)

adding additional tones not only helps make it less flat - it helps make the image look less dull - with the right colors and color combos you can make it come alive - there are color wheels - if you usephotoshop - the colors next to that color are usually sympathetic otherwise yo can buy professional color wheels

Yeah I'll definitely check into that and thank you for the help. Colouring was never really my thing, but I started a webcomic a little while ago with a friend and I kinda threw myself into it.
