Affleck is rumored to want to leave the role, but there was suppose to be a second JL film with Darkseid as the main bad guy....so Affleck might stay, but Matt Reeves doing Batman trilogy with rumor Jake G, but that is separate with a Joker solo movie with rumors Joachim Phoenix - which dont get confused with Jared Leto as Joker in the established DCEU, but Jared Leto is apparently returning as Joker in a possible Gotham City Sirens movie that might or might not happen, but also could be back in Suicide Squad 2 film....I'm going to stop right here and just tell you DC is a complete mess....I mean a COMPLETE MESS !!!!!!!

Just brand the Joker movie as an Elseworlds movie. When the Joker movie was first announced they did say that it will be part of a separate brand of DC films and the guy that direct Kong Skull island made a comment earlier last year before the Joker movie was announced that he proposed a Superman Red Son movie.

If rumors are to be believed, Affleck seems like he wants to move on, but WB is willing to keep him in the role if he wants it, because apparently they think audiences absolutely loved BvS and JL or something.

Seriously, the people responsible for this DCEU mess are so dumb and incompetent, they could work in the Trump administration.

I like Affleck as Batman (against my expectations) but this whole 'is he - isn't he' thing is a farce. It's got me almost wishing he would go, so we can at least know where we are. It's hard to get invested in an actor's ongoing role/performance knowing or strongly suspecting that he wants to jump ship as soon as he can.

My concern at this point, is how WB's inability to let Affleck go will effect Matt Reeves's Batman or his intent on casting who he wants as Bruce Wayne.

What I would be worried about, is if Affleck did want to stay and WB trys to give all these concessions , including placing pressure on Reeves to fit Affleck in or to compromise his vision in order to placate Affleck or keep him on board.

If we have two different Batman's , i.e. Jake G's in one universe and Affleck's in another, then so be as far as I'm concerned. Its wonky , but I could tolerate it.

If WB and Afflecks on again off again relationship baggage begins to hurt the movement or production of the Batman , that's on WB not Affleck.

What's the point of meeting with actors like Gyllenhaal if Affleck is still Batman, lol? Maybe technically he's still Batman, but I'm convinced he will be gone by the time they find a new actor for the Reeves film. Considering there's plenty of time between now and the next film where Batman can make an appearance.
