Tarantino directed a two-parter for CSI. Darren Aronofsky almost directed an episode of LOST. Joss Whedon, JJ Abrams, Harold Ramis and Jason Reitman all directed different episodes of The Office. Neil Marshall handled Game of Thrones' two biggest battle episodes, and Rian Johnson made his mark on Breaking Bad.

If it were up to you, which notable director not already involved with the production of a series would you like to see take over an episode of a series?

I could go for...

Christopher Nolan on Person of Interest or Westworld. Granted Westworld isn't even a series yet, but with that cast it seems kind of inevitable. I'd just love to see Nolan step into either of the worlds that Jonah has created. Either as the director or coming up with a story. Either one.

Tim Burton on Once Upon A Time. Not so much because his recent film work has been so impressive, but because I'd like to see Jack Skellington (played by Doug Jones) and Halloween Town on the show and it would be cool if he were the one to do it. Plus one of his first jobs was directing an episode of Shelley DuVall's Faerie Tale Theatre, so there would be something kind of full circle about that.

David Lynch or David Cronenberg on Hannibal. Be-f***ing-cause. :o

David Fincher directing an episode of True Detective for obvious reasons....

Joel Schumacher direct an episode of Arrow

Guillermo del Toro on Game of Thrones
Michael Dougherty on Bates Motel

Sam Rami directing Teen Wolf.

Kinda would rather see him do a Supernatural, but ten seasons deep, I think it might be too late for something like this.

Rian Johnson directing an episode of Better Caul Saul.

I forgot about Supernatural that would be better but you're right it's too late.

The Russo Brothers for Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.

Wes Anderson - Community

John McTiernan -24

P.T. Anderson - Mad Men
