No, I don't mean I hope there are nearly 3,000 Spidey movies....I mean, if the series is going to be revamped, I'd like to see a complete revamp.

Spider-Man 2099 was a short-lived but much-loved comic published in the 90's. Spidey of the future is Miguel O'Hara, a somewhat more menacing, aggresive Spidey. It's set in a distopian cyberpunk future, (read 'The Matrix'), and features seriously cool updated versions of the Vulture, Venom and the Green Goblin.

Advantages;

- Brand new story, won't be rehasing the previous three movies
- No need to insight fanboy rage by recasting Peter Parker or any other characters
- Completely fresh, audience fatigue no longer an issue

I'd love an animated movie of 2099, but keep the live action stuff strictly 616.

I'd be up for this adaptation. I think they should do it once Tobey doesn't want to do anymore movies...they do this...

Direct to DVD animated movie FTW!

They should basically do an revamped origin story and have it feature the Vulture.

I'd buy it

If this were an animated feature, then awesome. I'd watch it. I'd see a film of it if done also, but I would much prefer we stick to Peter Parker Spider-Man films.

I'd totally be up for a 2099 live action! I think it has a lot of potential if they get it right. I'd way rather see that than a Venom spin off.

Spiderman 2099 Would be very cool. And Ghost Rider 2099 too, please.

I'd love to see a Spider-Man 2099 film (animated or live action). The costume's one of my faves, too

spider-man2099 the animated movie?
that sounds good to me

Marvel 2099 the animated movie?

Throw in some X-Men 2099 especially some Fitzgerald action

HELL, NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't know much about Spiderman 2099,but I would be up for a Spiderman movie with him being used!

I love his suit.

I heard that the entirety of 2099 world was full of suck.
He does look cool though.

Those of you who are unfamiliar w/the series ain't missed nothin'. It was crap. And I hate that suit with a passion. Not one inch of it in any way says Spider-Man.

Ah, Rick Leonardi - one of the great unsung Spiderman artists.

Used to love the 2099 Spidey because of his artwork.

I suppose it could work as a movie but wouldnt it perhaps be too far of a departure for the mainstream audience to get?

Batman Beyond I'd love to see as I think it is an amazingly intelligent and cool and fun way to imagine Batman in the future in his old age.

But this...I never liked 2099 very much and it is completely removed from the original concept. I love Terry McGuniess but he needs Bruce Wayne and Barbara Gordon still there to talk to and relate things to the old days (especially when the Royles, Mr. Freeze or Joker pop back up).

This is just TOO far in the future and the character I never warmed up to. Spidey is successful because of Peter Parker and his supporting cast, when they remove that, I'm ambivalent.

Just my opinion, though.

i just loved this book...costume was baddass

Loved the art, but not so much the story. Haven't read anything from the 2099 line in a while, but I remember everything from it being very dull. I've refused to pick anything from it sense. I doubt it could work very well as a movie.

eh... I'd rather see Punisher 2099. I liked that alot more than Spiderman 2099.

Its a good idea actually, but needs the right creative team. Unfortunately Marvel has this plan for Venom so, it may never be.
