Okay, haven't posted about the game since a week or day before the second game's release...since then, I'd been preoccupied.
Here's what they should have:
-A free roaming platform similar to the last game, but updated with exceedingly better graphics, an inner building mode, and a sewer system.
-Get an entire team to develop nearly hundreds of interchangeable, small time missions. As I played the last game, I came up with half a dozen better missions than saving a guy on a building or a boat capsizing, I can only imagine what a group of game designers could come up with if they really drew it out.
-More interaction with the bigger events. Who else thought that the train sequence could have actually been a killer level with a faster train? A sequence where you had to stop it with an agility level or fast clicking or SOMETHING!
-A series of emotive and character type settings that may change upon actions. This means you have a series of actions that can go either way and set up for one villain teaming up with another or one villain having a certain revenge on you. Meaning different villlains may team up in different sizes or with different scenarios.
-Interchanging from Parker to Spider-man...it may be boring, but it would be cool to be Parker and hell even do The Sims type stuff like talking with friends, etc, etc... I know I would like to do that and it would make the experience of Spider-man a bit better.
-More airbattle through the city, I'm talking about a huge fight going all across Manhatten...this should definitely be the case with Venom, Sandman, or GG2.
-Also, a star system type thing like GTA? Meaning, you save one thing, but can't save the other--resulting in maybe the police being a bit angry at you or a villain finding a reason to fight you. It could be interesting, especially with the symbiote suit.
-You should be able to pick up things like cars or objects.
-Costumes, symbiote making you stronger, etc...these are all golden.
-Actually take your own photos for the Daily Bugle, instead of having to do them with a simple click. I'd like that, maybe set up an area of emphasis mapping that would allow a pay/wage system for the different angles you get.
-Destruction should continue with the city, meaning it's built up after being destroyed, there are teams to fix it. I mean actual AI for the whole thing...citizens may be scared or happy to see you based on actions (something you can improve with missions and headines) and police might be able to do the crime themselves, but you can help if they really need you. I'd like a full fledging city, the AI in actual characters should be improved from just mindless drones.
-More NYC landmarks? How about a CBGB? Haha.
-Weather conditions are a must.
-When the game is finished, the villains will still lurk around and can intermingle with the many missions still being circulated to make things more interesting.
-Gang hideouts that could be linked with other gangs, like a detective type thing that traces drugs or thugs to other thugs. Could be cool.
-More natural disaster type things like fires and flooding from buildings. I'd like to actually go into the buildings and save people like in the films.
-The love triangle thing could be great, especially with Sims-like features...who is spending more time with who.
-Experiments, hacking, and analysis should actually be a hard thing to do, see the new 24 game for that. I'd like different coding and all that to be manually done, that's very Spider-man ish and something cool about Parker being intelligent and all.
-Black Cat maybe, but perhaps just swinging around in the distance and doing her own thing, I'd like that for a lot of different heroes and stuff(of course, keeping it with the movie).
-Aunt May, let's have Aunt May and the ol' neighborhood Peter grew up in. We saw it in Ultimate, let's have it here.
-Keeping a secret identity might be fun too, especially with the Parker to Spider-man mode.
A lot of these ideas are things we discussed awhile back in 2004 when we finished the last game or even before the second game came out. Some stuff is new, but with a next generation console, I can see all of this stuff happening.
And more.
