Spider-Man 3 video game preview

Oh yeah Venom has to be a playable character in SM3. I also see Harry as a playable character too. But I dont think they would do Sandman( be cool though). I hope they improve the swinging. It was kick ass in SM2 but it can be improved. How about making a New York that's actually crowded this time. It felt like a damn ghost town in SM3. The next gen consoles are capable of it, let's see a swarm or pedestrians waking the sidewalks and crossing the streets, construction workers working on a building. Just have Pedestrians go through a daily routine. Have a pack of cars stuck in traffic too.

I have a theroy...that Ultimate Spider-man, the average but fun game...was made to test venom physics and gameplay to set up for SM 3....which sounds credible since it came out of frickin NO WHERE i mean ultimate sm isnt that popular nemore..

Thats also a theory I had. I think Treyarch also wanted to test out the comic book style narration, which was kick ass, but everything else gameplay wise was lacking. Venom was fun to use at first but it felt watered down. The Swat team came out too easily and Venom didnt have enough cool moves. There wasnt really anything to do with Venom besides eat people and do race missions. Treyarch just needs to get rid of all the races because no one likes them. Maybe a few chases here and there but not all the damn time.

Good points, and HOPEFULLY treyarch can learn from sm2's short storyline and really fun free roam yet repetitive missions, no secrets or cheats?!! after sm1 ha sooo many costumes, etc., it also seemed unfinished to me to this day i play it trying hard to find secrets. Also not only are they making that sweet ultimate alliance looking game but i heard of a classic spiderman coming to next gen...

Good points, and HOPEFULLY treyarch can learn from sm2's short storyline and really fun free roam yet repetitive missions, no secrets or cheats?!! after sm1 ha sooo many costumes, etc., it also seemed unfinished to me to this day i play it trying hard to find secrets. Also not only are they making that sweet ultimate alliance looking game but i heard of a classic spiderman coming to next gen...

They canceled the Classic Spidey game, it was suppose to come out this year on the current gen and 360. I think SM2 was unfinished, I read in some article awhile back that they were suppose to have crazy unlockables. But I guess they were trying to reach the deadline and took out some stuff or didnt add anything at all. I would have no problem if SM3 was delayed until fall of next year, as long as Treyarch take their time on the game and make SM2 and USM seem like kindergarten games compared to SM3. Right now they got what it feels like to be spider-man, lets get what it feels like to be in a Marvel setting New York. A New York where it doesnt feel like a ghost town but a living breathing world.

As far as the Wii version goes, I'D LOOOOOVE to see something like this:

Imagine if the game came with some sort of attatchments, 2 simple wrist straps that allowed you to strap 2 wiimotes onto your wrists that place the triggers right under the palm of your hands.

Eureka! Webshooters!!

Then you can actually weblsing around by pointing with your hand where you want to shoot, shooting the web just like Spidey does, and then repeating with the other hand after you swing forward! With the way the Wii is set up with the controllers...that'd be so easy to do...I'd die happily after playing that.

i heard back in a nintendo power mag that it would be "unique and powerful", that is the wii version of spider-man 3.

I own a 360 and i definitly would CRAVE to buy a wii if they, and im sure they would, do something like this...btw you really shouldve been able to play as dock ock in sm2

Ok a tiny bit off subject but not really. Has anyone seen a glitch in SM2 where i belive i was doing one of the armored suit missions, and afterwards there was this weird pulsing glowing orb(energy ball?) on the street. Couldn't pick it up or interact with it in any way and it didn't disappear till i went out of the vicinity of that area. I took a picture of it, but it's a pretty crappy pic. But you get the jest. It was that big orb and it just sat there and pulsed and that's it. Wondered if anyone else encountered this odd and cool glitch or if i am a special only one or something, haha.

Please no more races for the love of god. No black cat(worse part of sm2). No dunst voiceover. Radically improved battle system. This combo stuff is bs when all i have to do is press the same button over and over. Do it god of war style or simply make it that while in combat, you have combat controls. And how about block, i can lifts a few tons(i want to lift cars again like in spiderman 1) but i cant block some dudes punch? They really need to go back to spiderman 1 controls for the most part. Oh and really more indoor levels. Its clear that the developers can not make good outdoor level mission without it being a race. Spiderman one had great boss battles and level design. Imagine the vulture fight with sm2 web swinging.

Yeah i was all half drunk and hangin out with my moms freinds kid(babysitting but they were here so a few drinks were fine) And he LOOOVES the game, but i always have to do the Armored Suit missions for him, and then that happened, i had to run and grab the camera and snap a pic before he freaked out and got too impatient. It was very odd though, thing just sat there tried all kinds of moves and stuff on it but nothing effected it. after a while i swung off a ways and came back and it was gone. Ive put many many hours into that game and havent seen that again. If it ever happens again i will get a better shot of it.

Well It's nice to know We're getting a little tidbit... when does the Oct. ish come out anyway? Definitly my must have game of 2007 ( and I don't know anything about it. my only beef is that since the 3 systems are different from each other I have a feeling the wii version( Which I will definitly buy ) will not have as many "factory extras" as the others...which gives me a reason to get a ps3 just for this game. ( I'll probably own the game before I manage to win the lotto to pay for the system)
