I'd only support first person if it was optional
Look at the trailer. What he is talking about is right there.
You can clearly see how the third person view is tight and more "engaging". When he is diving off one of the buildings, you can see that they exaggerated the depth. They made his feet very close to the screen, and his body is more elongated because its away from the screen.
So those illusions lead to a greater sense of velocity when Spidey is diving in that part. Hard to explain but when you pause it at the part, you'll know what I mean.
That's what he means by more immersion in TP

AgreedI hope there will be no first-person. I just can't see it work.
Spider-Man 2 of course, followed by Spider-Man 3, with a touch of USM when it comes to rising on the weblineWhat game do you guys think has the best web swinging? Ultimate Spider-Man, Spider-Man 2, Web of Shadows, or Spider-Man 3?
It's good for ascending and descending, not much else, swinging is really slow there, works going after Vulture and GG in the carnival stage, but not in the final stage against the GoblinSpider-Man: The Movie Game
I always feel like I AM Spider-Man when I web swing in Spider-Man: The Movie Game. It's such a rush and you want to scream "YIIHAAAAA!!!".
Then, when you look up and see how perfectly the web attaches to the clouds, you feel "man...this is awesome!!"
I LOVED PLAYING AS THE GOBLIN.
But I hated hearing "The glider is overheating!"...
