There's a difference between bad graphics and a different art style. Just because you don't like the obvious cartoon oriented style, that doesn't mean that they are atrociously bad.
And maybe you should try to play the PS2 version of MUA again. Aside from textures that are far more richer in color and detail, the graphics aren't really all that great. Especially if you look at some NPC characters who look like they were taken straight out of the first Spider-Man game for the PS1. Or have you even bothered to take a look at some characters faces? I think we can all agree that the character modells in Friend or Foe have all individually modelled heads. In MUA Mr. Fantastic looks like his face was painted on and additionally hit with a shovel.
And I find it amusing that graphics on current-gen games don't matter as long as the games are fun. But on next gen systems games can't be fun anymore without good graphics.
