Just having a Fanboy dream here

Spider-Men vs The Sinister Six

Tobey Maguire, Andrew Garfield and Tom Holland.

Already Set up villains:

Scorpion (MCU)
Shocker (MCU)
Morbius (SUMC)
Carnage (SUMC)
Electro (Amazing)
Introduce a new villain, that it's said to be from the Raimi universe. Kraven, maybe?

Then have some backup help for the Spideys during the third act. Venom (Tom Hardy ofc), Sandman (Church) and I was thinking Vulture could be introduced helping assembling the Sinister (what's up doc?) but then change his mind by the end.

I don't want Green Goblin in this. I actually liked Dane's portrayal in TASM2, but I want this character to be a villain on his own.

Maybe take the fight outside of the MCU? Just so there aren't any avengers to help.

...and yes I know this is most likely a JJJ situation with Foxx's cast, just let me dream today.

What's bringing together a Sinister Six across the Spider-Verse though? Morlun? Maybe the symbiote?? A great way to introduce Venom into the picture too. Would be interesting if Maguire is the only Peter Parker who's had experience with Venom before

I've been saying it since Raimi was named as the director for Doctor Strange and The Multiverse of Madness and then when Keaton was announced for the Flashpoint movie! Come on, it's like Marvel putting out Civil War right around Batman v Superman. The studios are always out trying to ride the same kinds of wavelengths.

Jamie Foxx returning as Electro is about the last thing I could have expected but wow. Either it's a new version played by the same actor or it's the same version and he likely still retools it from what it was in ASM2. Maybe he got sent to the MCU after he overloaded in ASM2 lol.

Wasn't the rumored title for this one Homesick? Maybe this will already be the live action Spider-Verse movie? Whatever the case I feel like before the end of the decade we're gonna see a team up between Maguire, Garfield, and Holland.

I had hardly any interest in this movie but somehow Jamie Foxx returning as Electro has piqued my interest. :funny:

For a universe-hopping Sinister Six, you could have Otto Octavius aiming to find a world where his wife is still alive. But you'd have to reverse the end of Spider-Man 2, or just say that he survived and escaped off-screen. It's been 16 years, you could swing that. Yes, you're taking Kingpin's storyline from the animated film, but they're fine with going straight into the spider-verse anyway.

Doctor Octopus (Maguire)
Mysterio (Holland)
Scorpion (Holland)
Vulture (Holland)
Electro (Garfield)
Rhino (Garfield)

Foxx and Giamatti weren't great versions in ASM2, but they're good actors and had such limited roles/development you could practically reboot them.

Maybe at the end of it all, there's a Master Planner who first gave Doc Ock the impetus to travel the spider-verse, etc. Norman Osborn? I know MP is traditionally Octavius, but maybe it could be a bait-and-switch thing.

That's Kingpin's storyline in Spider-verse though.

I mean, they brought back J.K. Simmons as a different version of the same character.
And you can redo the same character that had a disliked portrayal with the same actor and make it work. Just look at Deadpool between Origins and his own movie. And Foxx isn't a bad actor, he could pull of a different, better Electro under a different director.
I'm not convinced yet that if this happens it's multiverse stuff.

If this really is a multiverse storyline, I just have to wonder why? Does Holland's Spidey have to hideout in a different universe following the events of Far From Home and he ends up in the TASM universe?

Would be cool to me if we get the three Spideys, with Tobey being the most experienced and well adjusted against a more hardened Garfield.

This announcement has hurt my interest. Now I am a bit nervous for the movie.

I guess another reason why I'm skeptical about Multiverse stuff is due to where the last movie left off. We have Spidey's identity revealed to the whole world and dealing with the fallout of that. Having the story focus on alternate realities seems like an odd left turn IMO.

This news is the equivalent of Arnold Schwarzenegger returning as Mr. Freeze for the next Batman movie.

As a self-aware DCEU fan, I can say that after everything we've been through an announcement like that would not phase us at all lol. I am just in bring it on mode with that universe and I think that mentality is extending itself to these others as well.

I think this’ll be a different version of the character, but I could be wrong.

It’s a different creative team, so I would give Foxx another chance to do something great.

Would be lying if I said I wasn’t nervous, though.

I have to admit. having been abit put off abit by Sony for how they treated the TAMS series, id most certainly have to give some one credit if they found a way to make a cool idea out of having rebooted the series 2 times. and if Foxx is coming back. its gotta be the same electro. i don't believe for one moment they would bring him back to be a new electro. his star power isn't exactly as it was back with TASM2, and he isn't exactly the only person who could play the role. so bringing him back probably would only be by requirement.

I have to say with a decision like this i am genuinely curious to the direction they are heading. which i haven't been for some time now.

I doubt it is multiverse. Everyone thought JK would be, but look how that turned out.

Maybe someday soon we'll see JK Simmons playing Raimi JJJ with the hairpiece and different clothes next to MCU JJJ without the hair and in a blazer. Or at least, in the same movie. :wow:

That's what makes me think the Multiverse idea is more likely than some on here may think.
Like I said before, its possible sure. But I'm just taking the wait and see approach.

I mean this certainly would be a quick way to do a Sinister 6 movie right? you don't need to introduce villains if they have already been introduced in other movies. and all you would need to do is bring them together from 2 other universes.

And Marvel have done fairly well with bringing about the cross over dynamic. and probably have the audience following to be able to be as bold as they want.
