Jamie Foxx confirmed on his Instagram he won't be blue again. Higher chance it's a JJJ case now where he's playing a different version of Electro. Still really bizarre, still can't believe this, still oddly excited about it haha.

If they just bring back jamie fox as a new electro than that would be the DUMBEST thing in the world. Like why not get another actor? If you are bringing back jamie fox electro than you are bringing andrew garfield spiderman.

I think Jamie Foxx returning as Electro will likely just be Feige wanting Foxx in the MCU and enjoying certain aspects of his Electro from TASM2.

Not necessarily. If he is not blue, then I don’t see how he can be same character.

It makes no sense. there is no reasonable logic to the idea. its not like Jamie Fox just looks so much like electro from the comics that they couldn't see anyone else in the role. they actually went out their way to negotiate him back.

Then of course there is the fact that this would be the first villain that they are redoing, and its electro... but with Jamie Foxx again? its just strange. Would that mean they are gonna get into the habit of casting the same actors to play new version of characters? thats just confusing big time. i ain't convinced this is a new version, even if its a visually changed up one set 7-8 years after TASM2.

I'm not entirely convinced yet that they won't be tackiling Spider-Verse elements in the future though.

I think he means "the new" spider-man movie. being the "new one"

We shall see. If they're overhauling him down to not being blue anymore, then I am thinking new version. He was changed at DNA level in TASM2. I am guessing he will have a more traditional color pallette.

Okay, hear this theory out... what if he's ASM2 Electro but not blue now cause he's gotten better control over his powers or something? See, still possible.

Yeah, it's very curious Jamie Foxx posted a fan art piece of his Electro facing off against the three live-action movie Spideys.

Reminds me of Tom Hardy posting and deleting art of him as Eddie Brock with Carnage above him in the sky.

This would indicate a Spiderverse direction more. Hoping that is not the direction, though. My interest level would drop heavily. I would rather they table the Spiderverse for later and build toward it. This feels rushed and very....Sony in a bad way

Well electricity can probably be made to be any color. i think you could get away with logically changing his color depending on whats fueling him in terms of electricity.

And I am sure I will keep saying it as we build toward the release of the movie. Cool if this prospect excited y’all, that is fine to disagree with me. I just am not on board here. This feels like classic Sony circa TASM2. Just rush toward the event and on the MCU front I think this could easily have all the bad things a multiverse could bring.

This was one of my most anticipated MCU films of phase 4. Now it may very well be at the bottom. Hope I am wrong. I want all movies to be good. But I am skeptical. I feel like we're just having all the same mistakes.

Still haven't found clarification on whether the Spider-Verse manip being included in his post was real or not now that it's been deleted.

Not seeing anything about it on Twitter, so I'm leaning towards the latter.

I do not care for holland spidey at all (iron boy 3). If you bring back garfield then you have me day 1 at the theatre. Then bring back maguire and molina to bring in the raimi fans....boom. That is a box office hit.

I feel like not many spidey fans like the holland movies or character. I think mcu fans or general audiences like him but spidey fans seem to hate him (e.g., look at the outrage with insomniac having the new peter look somewhat like holland).

FFH made a billion dollars. Highest grossing Spidey movie. People love MCU Spider-Man. It isn't really even a debate
