Dang he lost a lot of weight. Good for him.

I wonder how Ned, MJ and Flash will fit into the story. with comedic results.

I hope once this movie comes and goes that we can be done with the Spiderverse for a while. I don't need to see it dominate all Spider-Man media. I already feel drained on this idea already, but any further after this will really be pushing it for me.

I'm sure if the Into the Spiderverse sequel is successful, we'll see more animated stuff, which I'm totally down for as long as Lord/Miller are masterminding.

It's literally only been done once with Into The Spider-Verse. If you want to count the comics, sure, but I really don't feel there's any reason to feel fatigue over it. Not yet anyway.

I do hope it's a one-and-done kind of deal, if only to give closure to Maguire and Garfield's Spider-Men.

Comics also have like 100 Spider-Man or Spider-Women now, we got the animated movie which have its own sequels based around the multiverse, etc. All within only a few years and now it is going in live action. What I dont want is a live action world with 500 Spider-Men all of whom come and go from each other's movies. This will quickly irk me.

I think it's a bit hyperbolic to expect them to go in that direction. It would be too much.

If you aren’t interested, don’t watch. I’m fine with this and the Spider-Verse sequels as long as they’re consistently good. Hell, Spider-Verse by far is the best spidey movie to have come out since SM2.

I can easily see them doing it. Sony doesn't have the library Marvel does for spinoffs. So they will have to be more creative in what they do, and the Spiderverse is the new hotness. I can easily see Sony going this direction. They want their own versions of IW and Endgame also. Which I am hoping they do not.

Spiderverse was great. But that was a unique production. I don't have faith this will be nearly as good as Spiderverse was. Especially not with one of our primary villains being one of the worst villains the entire franchise has offered us. It is hard to skip the Spiderverse stuff if it becomes all Sony starts producing with the property. Which is why I am hoping this ends sooner. Not everything needs to be Multiverse shenanigans.

I don't think the spiderverse will be kept open after Doctor stranger 2. thats why they are likely doing it now. while that door is open for a fun cross over.

In am hoping that's the case. But.... this is Sony. They only have a certain amount of characters they can build franchises around, and that mostly consists of Spider people. I think my cause for concern there is justified.

Usually I have a similar opinion, but it‘s not working here - everything what happens here has results on other MCU movies and tv shows

I don't know that it'll just end with Strange. With Thanos and the stones out of the way, they might think secret wars is the next best thing. The Russos have already mentioned they'd come back for a secret wars movie, I'm thinking the idea has at least been thrown around.

Unless they wanna do another infinity war type deal but bring all these things back from the other universes for one big crossover battle... i dunno. but i think whatever Wandavision does needs to be fixed by doctor strange for a reason.

What do you guys think is the most likely MCU S6 Lineup? It'll probably be Vulture, Shocker, Scorpion, Mysterio, Electro, and Kraven, given that Kraven's getting a solo movie soon and could cross over. I'd really like Molina's Ock in there tho.

I would love Molina as Ock...just not SM2 Ock. Him being the more Master Planner Ock seems out of character. But as like a MCU Ock who is more evil? Yes please.

Vulture, Mysterio, Electro, Kraven (after his solo), Scorpion, and Doc Ock is my guess.

Or they could use a female Ock based on Kathryn Hahn's version. That would be cool too, plus she's far less sympathetic than Molina's.

True. I personally would like a more classic Master Planner Ock given that version of the character hasn't been on screen yet and Into the Spiderverse gave us the female Ock very recently. But, they could.

Why would it be out of character if the Doc Ock he'd be playing would be an alternate version?

That being said, Master Planner Ock would be fantastic.

You misread my post. I said the Ock from the film Spider-Man 2 being leader of the SS would seem out of character given how he was in the movie. That Ock literally capped off his arc saying "I will not die monster!" I didn't say a parallel Ock would be out of character.

The phrasing kind of confused me. Sorry about that.

But yeah, I'm all on board for bringing back Molina to play Master Planner Ock.

Semi-related, but how would this version of Vulture be convinced to join the Six? Maybe he could be blackmailed into joining if the rest threaten his family?

Hatred of Spider-Man. Just cause he didn't sell him out doesn't mean he doesn't want revenge still. I could see him taking Sandman's role in the Return of the Sinister Six arc. Maybe he joins and then regrets it later.
