Hey All,

I have a unique prop that I'm looking to get rid of. This is a wrist webshooter that Sam Rami was going to use until they were scrapped in pre-production. It comes with concept are and one wrist webshooter and also a wall mount type picture frame that can be used for display.

Asking $200 which includes shipping

LMK

awhalen at purdue.edu (fixed for spammers)

I can email PICS I just dont know how to post...sorry

This is an actual prop made by the Sony FX department?

And to post photos, just go to www.imageshack.us
-hit "browse" to find the photos in your computer (make sure they're sized)
-upload the photos
-copy/paste the imageshack address that you're given for each photo
-paste the address for each pic here like this *address* - don't put the extra space in the brackets like I did.

they look like Sony's.

I always wanted to know: what kind of buttons are those on that webshooter?

does it come with a certificate of authenticity? thats the big deal breaker for me....

Yeah... no offense or anything... but how do we know you didn't build this yourself?

Yes it does on the back of the artwork it the authenticity report....and I dont really care pjspider1C if you dont belive me....I was just truying to make a good offer to you members out there and $200 is cheap for an offical ovie prop...

^ I'm not saying I don't believe you. 1) I just want to make sure it's authentic. 2) I have no idea who you are and therefore don't know how much I can trust you. No offense, just taking precautions. It'd be nice if there was a pic of the Authenticity Report.

That looks like a fan made prop.Made by Paul Wares I believe. The nozzle and palm buttons are not accurate, just compare the pics. Actually most of it isnt accuraste including the things that hold the battery, that red cylinder thing etc.

So it isnt an 'official movie prop'.

A good copy though.

anyone noticed they use the motor out of a scalextric car on the webshooter on the opposite side from the batteries. just an observation. i remember seeing a spiderman book that was made up of photos to tell the story. the guy in the book was wearing one of those shooters too.

Just wondering? How was that logically suppose to work in the film? How can a shooter that small hold tons and tons of web...What was their explanation?

It wasn't. The seller is mis-informed. They were never web shooters. They were web controllers. They simply controlled the flow of webbing. This was the one detail from the Cameron treatment that Raimi was going to keep. At the last minute before filming, it was scrapped.

You can read all about it in one of the making of Spider-Man books. There was never a web shooter that makes webbing.

Good eye there. They are definately not the same.

I did recieve it from an assosiate that worked on the movie in 2002 and the pictures you are comparing it to are very dificult to see the accuracy so please do not call me a liar. I didn't purchase ths from any prop maker just an old friend who knew I was interested in the Spidey movie hooked me up before their destruction....but who cares what ya'll think....it doesnt matter

No offense at all those gents'

i dont think anyone is meaning to call you a liar, certainly not me anyhoo. personally i like it and if i could afford one id buy it, looks close enough for me. got me thinking about making my own replica now. dont be offended by folk being cautious, i guess its because a lot of folk especially when trying to buy ebay suits have been ripped off or posted as movie accurate suits but then arrive and are not what was offered. guess people are just being cautious before parting with the cash, understandable really.

Look the fact is that is a copy made by Paul Wares. So somebody is lying, and someone is misinformed.

mickmike, bloody hell didnt realise that it was you my favourite sculptor...bit taken aback, well if anyone would know i reckon it would be you being in the biz so to speak and the maker of my favourite spidey suit too. dont know if youve had a gander at my silicone goblin mask in the goblins lair but that was inspired by your bust and alex's art. would like your crit if poss ? sorry to get off topic.....now back to the saga.....
