Spike Lee's Da 5 Bloods Starring Chadwick Boseman

Netflix is in talks to distribute the movie, with Delroy Lindo and Jean Reno also in negotiations to star.

Lee will direct from an original screenplay by Danny Bilson & Paul DeMeo, and rewrite by Matthew Billingsley. Lee will also produce with Beatriz Levin & Lloyd Levin, and Jon Kilik.

The film follows Vietnam veterans who go back to the jungle to find their lost innocence and put their broken selves back together.

I hope not. Production was a whole year ago, and if he didn’t gain that weight back by now for a role then he has a problem.

Gotta hand it to Netflix, they really give their directors/creators a ton of flexibility. I honestly couldn’t see this being made by most studios with the exception of Fox Searchlight (aka Disney). I will be watching this for sure!
