I think a lot of you will enjoy seeing this. A much younger Stan Lee appears on the identity-guessing game show "To Tell The Truth," sometime around 1971 is my guess. (And no, that's not Stan in the picture below.)

Marvel's Stan Lee appears on the classic game show, To Tell the Truth in the early 70's.

It's # 2. His voice has not changed that much. :woot: Soon as I heard his voice I knew it was # 2.

nice find! at least he admits writers had little to do as far as telling the story is concerned, the artist thru drawing told the story. That supports the Kirby was more then just a penciler camp.

I was sure it was #1. I don't remember what Stan Lee's voice sounds like, so I couldn't recognize him that way. That was really fun. Thanks for posting, Malus.

Well he does speak in every movie he has made a cameo in, and he did plenty of talking in the behing the scenes looks that we're scattered around before the 1st movie.

He doesn't talk in the first X-Men movie and I don't think he talked in the third, pretty sure he wasn't in the second. In the Hulk movie, we see him walk through the scene talking with Lou Ferrigno, but you can't really hear his voice. I know he had a couple of lines in the first F4 movie, but it's been a while since I've watched it.

This should be in the community forum!

He was on Secret Identity last week. And BTW, to those that say he is getting credit for creating Silver Surfer, he didn't on that show. It was never mentioned in fact.

This is very interesting to see. And you're right, its not Stan in the picture. Its the late Bill Cullen, who was also the host of The Price is Right long before Bob Barker.

I don't see why he shouldn't get partial credit. Jack designed him, but Stan came up with his backstory and everything. I think that's what's called a co-creation.

Good ol Stan Lee, always teaching ghetto youngsters not to trust their local drug pusher.

that was cool.
I know it was 40 years ago but he looked very different.

Wow, this show is awesome.

He looks completely different but like everyone else, I could tell by the voice.

Boy, dig groovy Stan. All that hair. Stan's always been a personality. They guy in the picture, by the way, Bill Cullen, I believe is Betty White's husband. Or was. She's outlived him.

That Gaudy topee and that crackling voice! Stan Lee is #2 but all the True Believers knew that!

The womans questions were kind of dumb "Number 2 who draws peanuts?"
