Animals running loose burning their own city while the innocent pay for their idiotic primitive decisions. Police stands idly by and let's it get to this level due to fear of bad press.

I was off today so watched the whole thing unravel. That's police didn't do anything and the Mayors word yestersay certainly didn't help.

Those "animals" are people. Idiots but still people. THey didn't just start existing when the riots happened.

Just because you don't know what their problems/grievances are doesn't make them animals.

Yeah, everyone's going to have to provide some more context and information...

When humans succumb to this type of behavior they are relegated back down to the totem pole as uncivilized animals.

Sorry to break it to you. This isn't a race thing if that's what you're thinking either seeing as Black people are going to be the ones that suffer the most from this. It's really sad the whole thing.

I don't see what is productive about looting and burning down one's own city?

Right now the majority out are trouble makers. That didn't come there for a cause, they came to join in chaos. Literally an excuse to #purge.

Agreed. These people are behaving like animals, and when they do so they only reinforce racial stereotypes and make the situation worse. When will people learn that this is not the way forward toward racial reconciliation?

I despise this anti-cop mentality that many of these people have. I have a number of friends who are cops and are decent, ordinary people just trying to make ends meet and come home to be with their families every day. Sure there are some bad cops out there, but apparently there are also bad and violent protestors, so kettle, meet pot.

They just burned down a senior center. Disgusting.

And yes, they are acting like animals.

If that is animalistic behavior then I don't know what is.

They certainly aren't behaving like humans. I know there will be some apologists, and those denouncing their actions will be labeled "racist" by extreme protestors. Crazy times.

The gentlemen cutting the fire hose was a very delightful specimen...

So, it seems like it's been confirmed that, essentially, this all unfolded at the hands of juvenile anarchists with a planned "Purge" event.

It's odd that the police seemed to know what was coming, but still failed to be prepared. It's quite a sight to see a group of teenagers manage to intimidate, attack, and force police officers to retreat with rocks and bottles. It's just...shocking.

Not enough free potato-chips?

And I love that the advice isn't - don't loot!
It's don't loot here! ...they have cameras.

Idiots.

When you think it's okay to liken a human being to animals then you get in the mindset to treat them like animals.

You think of another human like "my property" and you think it's okay to treat them like your property.

Yeah, they are. They had a plan to create chaos and executed it to provoke a reaction and make the police look worse.

At first I thought they wanted to drown their sorrows. Then I thought maybe they were protesting the new healthcare stuff. Now I don't even know. Any police scanners?

There's no great mystery, Victarion. They mingled with the protesters and used it as cover to loot and get free stuff.

This.

Grey died like a week ago and protest have been going on ever since. The police have admitted wrongdoings already and no riots.

Now all of a sudden CNN's saying "gangs are colluding to attack police" and today a riot breaks out?

Opportunity knocked.

The poverty issues and welfare state of the inner cities has a lot to do with criminal behavior. It's such a huge problem to tackle, and unfortunately slips by year after year.
