Stephen King Returning to TV with Haven

They've mentioned the Colorado kid in the show sometimes... but really they should just call the show Steven King the TV series. Seems like every episode is sort of based on a King Story.

Huge fan of this series! Can't wait for Season 3!

Haven - Season 3 - Edge to Recur

WWE SUPERSTAR EDGE® THROWS DOWN ON SYFY’S HAVEN AS A RECURRING GUEST STAR

Season Three Premieres Friday, September 21st @ 10PM ET/PT

NEW YORK – August 22, 2012 – WWE Superstar Edge (aka Adam Copeland) will return to Syfy’s hit series Haven, appearing in multiple episodes of the show’s third season including the premiere, September 21 at 10PM ET/PT. WWE Superstar Edge will reprise his role of Dwight Hendrickson, a shrewd, longtime Haven resident and “Troubled” handyman who can truly handle anything, and often does, as the town’s “Cleaner.” A close ally of Nathan’s (Lucas Bryant), Dwight helps to cover up all of the town’s supernatural goings on and to keep Haven’s secrets hidden.

Season three of Haven picks up immediately following the events of the gripping season two finale with Audrey having been brutally kidnapped; Nathan warned against pursuing a romantic relationship with Audrey; and Duke (Eric Balfour) seemingly engaged in a fight to the death with Nathan after he discovers his family lineage is to kill Haven citizens with troubles.

This season’s previously announced guest stars include Iain Glen (Game of Thrones, Downton Abbey), Bree Williamson (Gossip Girl, One Life To Live), Dorian Missick (Southland, The Cape), Kate Kelton (Harold and Kumar, American Psycho 2), Nolan North (Uncharted video game series, Pretty Little Liars), and Claudia Black (Uncharted video game series, Farscape).

Haven, based on the novella The Colorado Kid from renowned author Stephen King, follows former FBI agent Audrey Parker, who becomes a cop in the small town of Haven, Maine, and soon discovers the town’s many secrets, which also hold the key to unlocking the mysteries of her lost past.

From leading independent studio Entertainment One (eOne), Haven is co-commissioned by Shaw Media in Canada and globally via Universal Networks International (UNI).

The creative team behind Haven includes executive producers John Morayniss (The Firm, Hell On Wheels) from eOne Television and David MacLeod (Legends of the Fall, The Ray Bradbury Theater) of Big Motion Pictures, who are joined by Lloyd Segan, Shawn Piller, Scott Shepherd (Stephen King’s The Dead Zone, Greek) of Piller/Segan/Shepherd and Matt McGuinness (Journeyman, Dark Blue) as well as Sam Ernst & Jim Dunn (Stephen King’s The Dead Zone), who also developed the series.

Haven is produced by Entertainment One and Big Motion Pictures in association with Piller/Segan/Shepherd and airs on Syfy in the U.S., Showcase in Canada and internationally on Universal Networks International’s channels. Entertainment One controls the worldwide distribution rights to the one-hour series and concluded a deal with Germany’s Tele München Group (TMG) for the television rights in Continental Europe.

Underrated show. This season has been great!

Syfy’s ‘Haven’ Renewed For Fourth Season
Syfy has picked up drama Haven for a fourth season. Haven, based on Stephen King’s novella The Colorado Kid, has received a 13-episode order for a 2013 premiere. Haven has been a successful acquisition for Syfy as the series ranks as the No.1 cable program among Adults 18-49 and Adults 25-54 in its Friday 10-11 PM time period (in Live +7). The current third season of Haven is averaging 2.4 million total viewers and 942,000 Adults 18-49.

:D

Great show, though I wonder how they can stretch things out considering the time frame that they've established...

Its a good show. Im glad we still have time to figure out the major mystery of who/what Audrey/Sara/Lucy is/was.

True indeed but I gotta say Audrey and the Sherriff I'm not a fan of as a couple.

Thank you!

Nathan should stick with the black haired chick who can't touch people because it'll hurt them.

I like Duke and Audrey as a couple but that seems to have ended where it started, Colorado.

Good season finale it ended or answered the Colorado kid storyline. I wanted Audrey to kill Nathan so bad I was so disappointed she didn't.

Is there anything Dark Tower-esque about this series? I watched one where they found a laboratory that reminded me of a Dogan. It was the episode with those naked guys running around with dog brains.

i was hoping he was playing carter from eureka, but it's a new character. would have been cool if haven was set in the same universe as eureka, warehouse 13 and alphas.

Season 4 premiere tonight!

After getting totally caught up with Once Upon a Time, I decided to leap into the series after hearing some things about it. I blew through Season 1 and the first episode of Season 2, and think the series has been excellent thus far.

As an aside, I did some searching and found places where the show was compared to Twin Peaks, but it reminds me much more of Dark Shadows, Fringe, Wolf Lake, John Doe, Reunion, Vanished, and Point Pleasant, as well as the King/Straub novels The Talisman and Black House.

This is fantastic news! This show has only gotten better with each season and I´m really looking forward to seeing what the writers can do with 2 seasons guaranteed :)

^ It's not really two seasons guaranteed, though; it's one double-length season that is going to be split for airing

Since each season has been 13 episodes then I feel comfortable saying that this is like getting two seasons :) I´m also pretty sure that they will leave us hanging with a cliffhanger in episode 13...

Isn't this really a union thing though? Someone told me that for each season that a show goes on it has to pay union workers more per episode. So by having this be "one" season they can keep costs down.

If it were meant to be two seasons, it would've been announced as two seasons, though.

Is this a sign that the writers should prepare for a series finale just in case lol

Given that we're getting a double-length season, I would not be surprised at all if this is the 'wrap-up' for the series and we get a final conclusion to the story by the end of these 26 new episodes.
