Horror Stephen King's The Monkey

Looks great and I’m glad to see Theo James in another lead role after crushing it in The Gentlemen and The White Lotus.

Also, why are toy monkeys so ****ing creepy? They’ve weirded me out ever since I was a kid and I first saw a copy of Monkey Shines sitting on a shelf at Blockbuster (never actually saw that movie though).
It's the eyes. It's the same with creepy dolls.

Finally got around to finishing the short story. Something gives me the feeling that Perkins might give it a bit less of a “Phew, good thing we got out of that one!” ending.

Saw this two nights ago and it was a lot of fun. Brutal and very funny. Very different movie than Longlegs, which I loved. This will definitely be a crowd-pleaser.

This movie was bonkers and I was laughing my ass off at several points. Holy ****, dude. Felt like Final Destination but better written (no vague “Death’s Design” BS).

Also:

BEES, MOTHER****ER! That particular death had me nearly pissing myself with laughter. So friggin’ narly!

Same Cinemascore as Longlegs.

Oz Perkins, you divisive ****er! :tearsofjoy:
