Store owner hopes to boost sales with publicity

AUSTIN (KXAN) - North Austin tropical fish and aquarium store owner hopes to pick up business on Black Friday by going topless.

Caroline Estes, owner of Amazonia Aquariums , hopes that the publicity will help boost sales.

Her store, opened in 1992, recently moved. Between the recession and the move, sales are down. "I'll save my business with whatever it takes," said Estes.

Estes is no stranger to this kind of publicity. In 2001 she organized a topless protest in Austin, demanding the police recognize citizen's rights to go topless. The event attracted national attention.

Boobs. Big deal. You can see them anywhere. She's gonna have to do better than that if she really does wanna boost sales.
 
She'll attract a lot of losers and psychos, but not a lot of families and normal people who might actually wanna buy something.

Beg to differ, I was at a car show and a wet t-shirt contest turn to a topless show and they were tons of family around, the moms and dads didn't do much making sure the kids didn't see the naughty parts. Also I would imagine they get more then usual selling having topless cashiers and such at the store :hehe:
 
But... tropical fish? I doubt it's going to have a huge impact on sales. If anything, I think there would be a lot more people "browsing".

The ONLY way that I would consider this whole thing to be awesome is if they somehow rigged working fishtanks to be attached to these topless cashiers. Because lets face it. You can save money on gas by looking at boobs on the internet, why actually go into a store that sells fish to see topless people.

I mean really married people won't dare go near that store tommorow.
All that store is gonna get tommorow is abunch of teens taking pics with their phones and then showing them to their friends when they come back to school in hopes that their friends will praise them.

Yeah this is just going to attract a lot of people who don't plan on buying anything, and they'll be in the way of people who actually do want to buy things.
 
She's probably a fat woman that looks like Mrs. Crabtree from South Park anyways. :o
