Stranger Than Fiction - Did I Miss Something?

Whoah, hang on right there.

How about some Anchorman love?

Anchorman is AWFUL! I only saw it for the news team cause those guys are the real funny people in Hollywood. The only part I thought was funny was the fight scene plus the following conversation (I killed a guy)

Hatred for Anchorman cannot be tolerated  .

I haven't heard of people praising this film every week. Where are those people?

This was the best Ferrel movie I've ever seen.
Hands down.

It's simple, yet clever.
Everyone delivered good, credible performances.
The concept was excellent.

It was both tragic and comedic, and I was astounded at Ferrel's performance, and now I'm actually saddened that people treat him like a one trick pony.

He's practically cursed to continue staring in movies that only want him to be a loud, annoying, obscene goofball. It gets redundant and predicable, your usually guaranteed seeing him down to his underwear and being loud.

People then say how sick of Ferrel they are, when they should be saying how sick of the Ferrel typecasting they are.

I love this film too but Ferrel typecasts himself. Most of those movies he helps develop

Really?
Maybe its a move in relation to how the audiences reacted to it.
Anchorman made twice as much as this movie, but it certainly isn't twice as good.

So maybe he just markets himself in the most profitable way, its unfortunate, but the "general audience" usually has a pretty low tolerance for a change of pace.

If they fall in love with Ferrel for being a goof, they might not give him a chance in another role, same thing for Sandler, or even actors that are consistent casted as creeps because they played one in the movie that launched them.
