I was walking to the store when I saw the most adorable kitten wandering across the street. She looked like she hadn't eaten in days, as she gobbled up 2 cups of indoor cat food in one sitting. Well she started following me home and I figured I could just send her a "no-kill" animal shelter, but sadly they require shots, surgery and advance notice to secure a home. I am flat broke, but if I did have money I would help her. I already have 2 cats and my mother gave me 24 hours to get rid of her. I wish I could keep her, but I can't she is adorable and kind, she would make a future owner very happy. If you are near the Pomona California area please look into adopting this little angel before it's too late. :(

aw! I picked up a stray kitten a few months ago. Turns out, the kitten is something called a "ragdoll" - which can cost over $1000 to own. I posted notices saying I found the kitten, but no one ever got back to me, so I kept her.

Oh she's so pretty! I want her, but 1) I'm nowhere near California and 2) my husband says, no, I may not take in every stray kitty I see. Because I totally want to!

Good luck. I hope you find that sweet baby a home.

ETA: ObakeTora, it might help if you edit the title to encourage people in your area of California to open the thread. Not sure if you can edit titles here or not.

I hope you'll be able to find a nice home for her. We already have young kids and no time to take care of any pet, so unfortunately I can't take this poor kitten in.

I think we have the same shoes.

On a side-note: she looks almost exactly like a cat I have now, except he's missing his left-rear leg. It was delicious.

Awww.

The second picture is cute, she's like "hai thar =]"

And I'm in the UK soo yeah, lol.. hope somebody takes her in though.. good luck. :)

Wow, she's beautiful! I hope your mom wasn't serious about making you get rid of her in 24 hours. That's not enough time to find an owner. :csad:

But seriously I hope you find a good home for it

Ok without pointing fingers I will happily dream of some of you on this thread who take time out of their day to post stupid 拉屎 like "free chinese food" or whatever, to be maliciously ripped apart by Lions, Tigers, Ligers and Tions. Yea, you guys are great people you took the time out of your day to post stupid comments about a SHH member's compassion for a stray innocent animal. Wow, here's your award for posting your stupid comments, you just place it in the corner of your homes so it will keep the flies off you and your family members. I hope Selina Kyle jumps out of your comic books while your in the bathroom and shreds up your hand lotion. Cat haters die slow and painfully. ~ 幽灵虎!!! m :cmad::cmad::cmad::cmad:er***!!!!!

That being said, I canvassed the entire city all day looking for a home for her. Alot of people expressed interest in her but no one could take her in. I called the animal shelter and they said she would only have 4 days to live. I had my poor mother drive me around town all day searching for the no kill shelter but to no avail.

Thanks for your support you guys.

Is there no crazy cat lady you know of that just takes in strays that she could stay with? There's always somebody looking for kittens/cats.

See if you can convince your mom to let you keep her for at least a week; 24 hours is simply too fast to find a nice home for her. And I won't trust the animal shelters either since they have a time limit for keeping pets around alive.

You should put some of the old Smartie tubes on the kitty's legs so it walks like a robot.

Wish I could help, man. I live in IL, already have a cat and my dad says no more cats after this one. If only I had a place of my own...:csad:

My sister brought home a black kitten last week and of course my brother and I take care of it:o She said her friend found it in a box at walmart that said free kittens and nobody was there and of course it was the last in the box so she felt bad and gave it to my sister who then pawned if off of us. This is oddly the third black stray that we have taken in. I found a black kitten about 7 years ago and that cat grew up but got ran over. I found another about 4 years ago and that now resides at my parents house and now we have this one at our apartment.

The first one was named Booboo. The second one is named Booboo 2. This kitten now is named Captain K'nuckles.

Thanks, but I'm really messed up now. I took the little girl to a Petsmart and they said they will do what they can but no guarantees. The shelter told me they will give the poor cat 4 days then they will put her to sleep. I know just a cat, but I'm really depressed over this. I walked the entire city trying to find anybody to give her a home; it's only fair, what if I landed in a planet of lions and they all wanted to eat me, I'd want someone there to ensure my safety. I owe this feeling to all those damn Justice League cartoons I use to obsess over, curse you Bruce Timm.

I would figure in CA of all places there should be ass loads of places that take care of these situations.

Thats some high quality snuggies right there. I wish I was close to Cali, so I could take it in.

If your mom makes you give it up. You should never let her live it down. That is a creature for f**k sakes. not a toy, or cereal. What is her reasoning for being such a fascist?

My mom hates animals of all kinds, so back then she would have said the same thing.

If you still have her, I live a little west of you (near Pasadena) and I'll take her for the time being. My bf's in the middle of moving and he expressed interest in taking in another cat when he was finished. He already has an older cat and is now a cat person. :yay:

We already have two cats but we did have three for a while (the cat my bf now has) so our cats are used to another cat around, even if the older one doesn't like company all that much. :funny: The third cat was one we took in because my roommate's friend had a cat he couldn't keep, so we let him stay with us for a while, but my roommate didn't want to keep him permanently because he scratched up the carpet. He's an old cat, and my bf's like, "I'm not gonna let him live his last years in a shelter!" (besides the fact old cats are impossible to adopt out) so he took him in instead. :yay:

What's funny is that since he moved to my bf's place, the old cat doesn't scratch the carpet anymore. :funny: It must have been something about our carpet that he really liked.

Give it to Anita. She's not a crazy cat lady, but she's close enough. :awesome:
