Study says men with beards are more attractive compared to clean shaven

I doubt that I'll ever shave my beard. I couldn't grow a decent-looking one in my early 20s, but I finally had success around age 30. I look back at my clean-shaven 20-something self and I appear to have some essential element missing.

My view is every man looks better with a beard, they somehow look & suit every man.

I won't ever shave mine off either, on for life.

Depends.

I rocked one for a couple of years, but started getting fed up with the upkeep. One thing I've noticed is the rest of your facial "maintenance" has to be in order. For example, without a beard nobody can believe I'm coming up on 40. With the beard though it made my forehead lines stand out more and made me realize that I need to finally jump on the invisalign bandwagon to finally get this slight gap in my teeth fixed. It just sticks out a lot more with the contrast of my uber black beard.

The latter part is huge IMO. If you don't have great teeth and a smile, you tend to look homeless with a beard.

Facial hair is men's alternative to wearing makeup.

I've not been legitimately clean shaven with a proper razer blade in probably 4 or 5 years, I've a trimmer that goes from 0.4mm - 10mm & what length it is depends on the mood really. I'll occasionally whip the head off it completely & use the trimmers blade, it's a close shave but not razer blade close & leaves me with some shadow.

I think the only men who should be clean shaven, are those that have problems growing facial hair ie overly thin or patchy.
