Sudoku (数独, sūdoku?), also known as Number Place, is a logic-based placement puzzle. The aim of the puzzle is to enter a numerical digit from 1 through 9 in each cell of a 9×9 grid made up of 3×3 subgrids (called "regions"), starting with various digits given in some cells (the "givens"); each row, column, and region must contain only one instance of each numeral. Completing the puzzle requires patience and logical ability. Although the puzzle was first published in a U.S. puzzle magazine in 1979, it initially caught on in Japan in 1986 and attained international popularity in 2005.

I suck horribly at these things, but my girlfriend loves them. She wants to teach me, but I'm not too much of a number person...or a thinker for that matter.

I got this little electronic Sudoko thing, it ahs four modes and four difficulty settings, although the hard ones don't work anymore becaue I got water on it I use it when I"m goign to be on teh tolet for a while

sudoku really has nothing to do with numbers, it's all about pattern finding, the numbers could easily be replaced with letters and the game wouldn't change at all.

as for the puzzles themselves, i don't really like them, with enough time on your hands you could crack them but it doesn't really represent a level of intelligence.

I like sudokus, but once I start one I have to finish it or else I go crazy. So I only do about one a month so I can actually have a life outside of sudokus.

it's takes longer if you can only count to 7

I'm bad at them. It takes me about a week to finish one, but I don't do any more for another couple weeks because I get to busy.
