I've decided to think on this article, and I've come up with my own conclusions regarding which movie has the BEST CHANCE of sucking.
In my opinion The Dark Knight has the best chance of sucking. The Incredible Hulk needs to only be okay to fair to be considered "good" by the viewing public, after it's last outing people's expectations will naturally be low enough that something as dumbed down as Transformers would pleasantly surprise them. The Dark Knight on the other hand, has no such luck. Even though it had a bad script, Batman Begins set into motion the idea that a superhero movie could be taken seriously and treated like any other film that seeks critical acclaim. While Begins turned out not to be much more than a popcorn flick, it was more, underneath, that wasn't all it was trying to be.
Now we have The Dark Knight which is more or less the Batman (1989) of this new series. For most of the viewing public, and especially the critics, B89 is still a standard for them especially when it comes to interpretations of the Joker. There is a distinct possibility that TDK will have to exceed the first film, and do something cool enough with it's main villain to really make it. If it's boring, underwhelming, or poorly written, that could kill it. Whereas Iron Man and The Incredible Hulk can make their share of mistakes without it affecting them too much.
