Helen Slater's Supergirl (1984) movie is getting a re-release, the movie was directed by Jeannot Szwarc, who directed Jaws 2, Somewhere in Time (starring Christopher Reeve) and 14 episodes of Smallville.

"Supergirl: The Movie - International Cut" Releasing on Blu-ray July 24th

Warner Bros. Home Entertainment have announced the upcoming Blu-ray release of "Supergirl: The Movie - International Cut" remastered in High Definition packaged with the rare Director's Cut on a bonus DVD.

I have the originally cut & released DVD which is I think the 2 hr running time and if the Director's cut & International Cut (which is shorter in length than the DC) then I'll buy but why the DC version is DVD only and not Blu-ray like the IC version, I've no idea.

Helen Slater was such a good Supergirl. I don't even get the hate for this movie.

Warner Archive announced today that it plans to release on Blu-ray director Jeannot Szwarc's film Supergirl (1984), starring Faye Dunaway, Helen Slater, Peter O'Toole, Mia Farrow, and Brenda Vaccaro. The release will be available for purchase on July 24.
