I'm still pretty new at Photoshop so I thought I'd start with a teaser. They are simple enough. Anyway, hope you like it.

Her colors are the same as Superman's. Do you really want to mess with that? People complain that the new Superman movie has Superman wearing a belt with the logo on it...what would people say if Supergirl turned into Barbiegirl for a movie?

Yeah, I wanted to pay homage to the poster for Superman: The Movie

I wouldn't cahnge her colors, I just wanted to show the traditional S logo looking more feminine and didn't know how else to do it. If I was making the movie I would have her in the traditional red, blue, and yellow get up.

I'd say show the "S" logo with some chest shading, but I'm sure feminists would be all over that, lol. I'd honestly probably go with some sort of standing iconic pose, not quite worm's eye view (cause we don't want the trouble of looking up her skirt...not that it's a bad thing). It's definatly something I'd play around with trying out different things to see which one clicks the best. I generally prefer simplicity with my posters.

I would just lighten the regular colors and maybe have the \S/ a little more curvy and feminine, and that would give a much better idea of SuperGIRL without having to turn it into an advertising campaign for "BRATZ."

You could do what MaskedMan mentioned, essentially a lighter version of just the strait logo, but you could also have a blond curl of hair hanging down.

I wanted to do something like that, but I'd need to photograph someone and let's face it, I don't know any woman with Supergirl's um physique.

You could easily use like a Volleyball player or Swimmer if you're talking about that athletic type of body. It shouldn't be too hard.

Or you can just use an image of Elisha Cuthbert.
