I hope when Gunn calls Krypto a "terrible dog", he doesn't mean like bad by nature, just not trained, or always steals food or breaks things.
I hope to see a small scene where Superman says to kids, "Go ahead you pet him, he's super friendly." (maybe 'super' sounds on-the-nose or iconic coming from 'Superman' but...)
I hope Krypto isn't all CGI though and Gunn used a real dog actor. I would understand for some scenes needing to enhance his movements and because he is a super dog. Given the shape of his ears, I'd say maybe not. For publicity though, I think it would have been cooler to show the real dog actor. This dog ideally could have gone to the premiere of the movie, not be force though. I don't advocate using wild animals that are tamed to be used for movies at all. But this is a dog, and dogs are domestic animals. I'll never understand why they used a CGI dog for Call of the Wild with Harrison Ford.
Gunn should have used a real dog. I mean Captain Marvel used a real cat actor and adjusted it with CGI as far as I know.
