Okay I'm totaly expecting to be getting told that a thread like this pops up every week or something. But you know I'll risk it.

The only comics I've ever read where Death of Superman and A World Without a Superman. What are some other good ones? I mean I've watched STAS, SV, and L&C.

The new arc that spins out of "One Year Later" kicks serious ass!!! It's an 8-part tale start started about two months ago. Two issues a month come out, both in 'Superman' and 'Action Comics'. It's not too late to hurry out and get these!!! It's some of the cleanest writing I've seen in the Supes books' in years! Great characterization and a pivitol "jumping on point".

Also, "All-Star Superman" which just released its fourth issue, is continuity free and BRILLIANT! Everyone I know LOVES it to death! Real classic Superman stories that are just FUN! Start from the beginning there and enjoy!

Tell me about Blue Superman, how did that happen.

What kind of Supermans are there also, i saw a Superman that looks like the grey Hulk.

Does Superman have a Son and Daughter.

Well, lets see. People generally call Kingdom Come the DKR of Superman.

Superman For All Seasons is excellent.

Superman's origin has been told twice in Man of Steel and Birthright. Although their quality varies depending on who you talk to.

Greg Rucka's run on Adventures of Superman was very good, and has been collected here, here, and here.

And lastly, I thought the Up, Up and Away (as previously mentioned) was just excellent, but that won't be out in TPB until September.

I also found Strange Attractors and The Journey to be pretty fun, but then, you already have enough recomendations. :O

I wasn't reading Superman when that Red/Blue stuff happened, but you can probably get plenty of info about it here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Superman

You're probably thinking of Bizzaro: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bizarro

No. Superboy (who just died) was cloned from Superman's (and Lex Luthor's) DNA, but he and Supes never had a father/son relationship or anything.

Just forget you even heard of Blue or Red Superman. That's what most people do, and the recent Infinite Crisis Secret Files issue cleared up that problem nicely.

I put up a thread using this question as a title and nobody answered:
What is Birthright?

It's an updated version of Superman's origin. Added with certain things to make the comics more reflect Smallville's mythos. No one can decide whether it's in continuity or not.

In "Man of Steel", supes is shot out as a fetus. If you read Batman/Superman volume 1, it shows he was alive as a baby on Krypton. In MOS, everybody is wearing uniformly black clothing. In Supergirl 1, clothing is closer to that of Birthright.

Is Birthright in or out?

As of right now, both Birthright and MOS seem to be out, according to the head honchos at DC and their quest to constantly and needlessly redo everything surrounding Superman.
