Products Superman: The Movie Toys

Yep, Mego released a 12" Superman action figure in Christopher Reeve's likeness, as well as 12" figures of Zod, Luthor and Jor-El. I don't think Mego had the license to make official SUPERMAN: THE MOVIE toys though, so they just came in a standard Mego style box.

 

Mego also had little 4'' figures, too.

Nothing "official" but definitely based on the movie.

I wonder if there were no official toys because the movie came out while mego was putting out super hero toys left and right?

 

I used to have the mego one, but I threw it away.

I remember having the 12" Superman doll and some stuffed doll with velcro pads on the hands and feet, mostly Superman paraphernalia was relegated to the Superfriends cartoon at the time.
